I had been reviewing the latest WWE news when this interesting Austin Theory article came up. He’s currently one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions alongside Grayson Waller, but that’s not what caught my attention. What really piqued my interest is his claim to be able to end Cody Rhodes’ reign as Undisputed WWE Champion.
So, here’s what happened: At WrestleMania XL, Roman Reigns was defeated by Cody Rhodes for the newly won Undisputed WWE Championship title. Now, it seems as if Austin Theory believes that he has what it takes to take away that belt from him.
In his interview with 3-W Wrestling on Tuesday night, Austin Theory said: “Anything I want.” He definitely seems confident about himself; and you know what? I don’t blame him.
The WWE Tag Team Championships were defended successfully last night on SmackDown by Austin Theory and Grayson Waller against The Street Profits. That is not an easy thing to do, I can tell you that! In the meantime, Cody Rhodes has a match for his title at WWE Backlash France with AJ Styles.
This is where it starts to get interesting. A.J. Styles is what you might call a phenomenal wrestler (pun fully intended). He’s got skill, experience and fans behind him in droves. But let me tell ya something about Cody Rhodes – he ain’t no slouch either! This guy’s been red hot lately, winning that Undisputed WWE Championship was quite possibly the biggest moment of his career so far.
However, is Austin Theory able to overthrow Cody Rhodes? It’s a difficult query. On one side, he is young, ambitious and quite confident. Moreover, already has a champion title as a part of Tag Team. On the other side, currently Cody Rhodes is at his peak. He has got the momentum, skills and championship mentality.
I definitely believe that Theory could win the WWE Undisputed Championship. He possesses talent, determination and desire needed for success in this industry. However; it will not be a smooth ride. Cody Rhodes is an experienced challenger who won’t let go off his belt easily
I am extremely excited to see what happens here. WWE Backlash France is a must watch event. If Austin Theory can or cannot dethrone Cody Rhodes, one thing is for sure; it will be an interesting match!
