Watching Monday night Raw I got very excited as Braun Strowman made his triumphant return to WWE. He had been out for almost a full year because of an extreme injury and the neck fusion surgery that followed it up.
But what really caught my attention was the tale he told about reaching out to ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin, one of WWE’s all-time greats, for advice during his rehabilitation process.
Strowman’s honesty about how bad things were at times and how down he got mentally knowing this was happening while still being under contract with them really hit home with me because there are moments when even someone like him feels vulnerable and unsure of themselves.
Talking to Stone Cold must have been very helpful for him.
Austin has experienced a similar injury more than 25 years ago and he can give Strowman not just practical advice but also words of encouragement and support that he needs.
It is wonderful when you see people like Austin giving back and helping out the future stars of WWE.
Now, let's talk about Braun Strowman's return on RAW... It was insane. The way he came back into the ring and saved Jey Uso from Logan Paul & IshowSpeed gave me goosebumps.
Just his presence alone could change the entire outlook of WWE and I'm excited to see what he does next.
Adding an extra layer of excitement to his return, there is the confrontation with Finn Balor and his interaction with Patrick Mahomes in the crowd. No one can command the attention of a crowd like Strowman can, and it’s obvious that he’s ready to pick up where he left off.
What really intrigued me though was the idea of a clash between Strowman and Logan Paul. Just the thought of these two giants going head-to-head inside that squared circle should be enough to get any WWE fan salivating at their mouths.
Although not a professional wrestler, Logan Paul’s background as a YouTuber along with his recent venture into boxing would surely create for an interesting match-up.
In one corner, you’ve got a human wrecking ball boasting strength and agility that’s unparalleled. In the other corner, you’ve got Logan Paul—a social media phenomenon with millions of followers and a talent for putting on an extravaganza. It’s like two different universes colliding head-on—what could be more exciting?
To be fair, some traditionalists might say that Strowman is light years beyond Logan Paul’s league as far as skills go—but hey I beg to differ! For years now, WWE has always sought after one thing: entertainment value; with these guys going at each other there would definitely be no shortage of that.
Let alone it being good news for wrestling on the whole because this kind of match-up draws in fresh viewers who may not have otherwise tuned into pro wrestling ever before.
To summarize, coming back to WWE was a great thing for Braun Strowman. He has shown strength when he faced problems and that has been encouraging. I am so excited of his next moves.
And if the fight between Logan Paul and Strowman happens then I will be there. It may not be like other WWE fights but it will definitely be fun to watch.
