My heart goes out to the families who have lost so much — whose lives and memories were forever changed in an instant because of fire. This memorial reminds us not only of their bravery but also of the deep love, sacrifice, and resilience that live on in their memory.

I experienced fire when I was a little girl, I think I was five years old at that time. Our family's newsstand/cafeteria named after me caught a fire. Truly changed our lives.
