Healthy ginger, honey and lemon tea (Eng/Esp)

in Amazing Drinks2 days ago

Today I come to share with you a recipe from my grandmother for sore throats, she has a garden at home and knows a lot about botany and home remedies, so her advice is valid when it comes to combat diseases naturally. In the last few days I have had a flu-like malaise that has affected my throat, to the point of leaving me with a sore and sore voice. The presence of an intermittent cough has also been very annoying.

I wrote to my grandmother, who at 75 years old stays online with her WhatsApp and she gave me a magic solution to my affections. I would need three ingredients to prepare an infusion, she also told me I could make it more concentrated for gargling. The base is ginger, known for its anti-inflammatory properties, it also helps fight the common cold. Another ingredient is honey, which has anti-inflammatory effects, relieves coughs and is an excellent antibiotic agent. Finally, we add Creole lemon, the popular citrus fruit rich in vitamin C.

Ingredients:

✓ 3 large ginger roots.
✓ 1 medium lemon
✓ Honey (two teaspoons).
✓ 2 large cups of water.

Preparation

Wash the ginger and cut it into small pieces.

Pour the water in a pot and place the ginger pieces in it, then put it on the fire and remove it once it has boiled.

We will notice the change of color, the water turns brown, which indicates that the ginger has transmitted its properties to the liquid.

Let it stand for a moment and then proceed to strain it. Subsequently, the lemon is chopped and squeezed, put a strainer to prevent the seeds from falling into the tea. Finally, pour the honey and stir until it is completely dissolved.

I made enough for two shots of tea, I love the taste of these three ingredients combined, so I drank it with gusto. The ginger tends to sting a bit, but I particularly enjoy that sensation, I imagine it's fighting the virus in a fierce fight 😅. The warm temperature in my throat did me a world of good. Thank you grandma for so much love and these wonderful recipes.

You grandmother most be an amazing woman; the fact that she is on WhatsApp at her age interest me a lot. Taking natural things like this is far more safer than our usual medications

My grandmother is amazing, she is always turning to natural remedies to restore health.

That is common amongst women of her age. Is always good to have elderly women around us
