My kitchen base is like that too except I need to change the tiling :D and wondering if I should just DIY it. Though labor is reasonable here, I have a hard time finding one that's not too lazy. I find most people too lazy to my liking hahaha.

        If you have some basic tools, give it a go. The only tool that's worth buying is a really cheap notched trowel.
