RE: Tiling a Splashback using Subway Tiles

in DIYHub9 days ago

Wow!! There's no way of telling this is in Thailand if I didn't know you. It's all ready for a Sunday roast now!

The tiling looks great especially after the grouting, and certainly a lot less hassle than getting a sub standard tradesman to do it 😭

The toaster socket is a little too near the sink for my liking, was it intentional?

What the next project?

Thank you :-)

Well spotted! The socket was put in the wrong place despite my giving exact locations for sockets and drains when the plans were created. I hadn't noticed until I started to plan the kitchen and decided that, as it wasn't directly behind, I'd roll with it. It wouldn't pass UK building regs, though!

Next project? Solar, I think. We're just getting quotes in, but for me, I still have a lot of waterproofing and repainting as we have rising damp from them not underfilling the house properly and then skimping on prep. before painting. Nightmare is never-ending but keeps me out of mischief ;-)
