For this month challenge I designed a hand fan inspired by the topic tropical surge. I began with a hand fan we call 'Aboki' hand fan here in Nigeria as my frame. Which have abandoned for sometime now.

I carefully attached a palm leaf on the frame using wax gum and evostic gum. I pasted it to cover the fan completely. And also rapped the hand of the fan too.

After fixing the palm leaf I trimmed the excess on both the front and back with scissors to give it a good finishing.

To make it look finer I cut a plastic water bottle and used it as #decoration. I sliced it into two and used the bottom part of it. And I glue it to the centre of the fan

This hand fan reflects the idea of a tropical surge and it gives a royal vibe. In fact it can be used for #traditionalwedding #ceremony , or a traditional #interior Design. First to rock my hand fan 🕺🕺🕺

In the process of this #design I learnt that when we pay attention and prune our excess that seems beautiful to us, we discover more #beauty emerges.
I was tempted to leave the long edges of the leaf because it looked beautiful but I decided to prune it and it turned out even more beautiful. Pruning our excess brings out the beauty in us and makes us refreshed.
Thank you for stopping by 🥰🥰
