After a long time, I’m finally sharing my art on the DIY Hive community! I really love art and I draw a lot. I’ve been wanting to make mandala art for a long time, but I was too busy. Today, I’m sharing my butterfly mandala drawing with you all.

First, let me tell you a little about mandala art. The word “𝙈𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙡𝙖” comes from Sanskrit and it means circle. Mandala art is all about balance and symmetry, and it makes you feel calm and focused. We always start with a circle, then add different patterns, leaves, and shapes to make a beautiful design.

🦋𝙎𝙩𝙚𝙥 𝘽𝙮 𝙎𝙩𝙚𝙥 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙨:🦋
First, I drew a circle with my compass. Then I divided it into equal parts and made a roadmap in my head of where each design would go.
Draw a vertical line a little above the center dot—that’s the butterfly’s body. I sketched the outline of the butterfly’s wings from the center,
Trace over your pencil lines with a pen.
With the help of a compass, circles were drawn at a gap of 1 cm, so that even the butterfly’s wings were divided into circles.
Inside the wings, add all sorts of patterns: petals, dots, triangles, or leaves, everything added to the beauty of the butterfly.
I even added a little extra detail on the wings, and suddenly the design looked even better.
Inside the circle, I started adding simple shapes—petals, curves, and geometric lines.
Slowly expand the patterns outward until the circle is filled.
Once the shapes were done, I filled the empty spaces with tiny dots. These dots gave my mandala an intricate, decorative look.
When I finished inking the mandala with my black gel pen and erased the pencil lines, the whole circle looked balanced and detailed.
Drawing this circle mandala reminded me that beauty lies in small details. A few dots and leaves may look simple on their own, but they transform into something truly magical. Mandala art is more than just drawing—it is meditation on paper.
