Have you ever needed a nice envelope to hold a greeting card or a gift card, but you just can't find what you're looking for? Well, in that case, it's better to do it yourself, so today I'm going to make sure you learn how to make a beautiful envelope to hold a gift card, invitation card, thank you card, or greeting card—whatever you want. It's a lovely touch, especially when made with love. It's also very easy to make, and you'll only need four things.
¿Te ha pasado alguna vez que necesitas conseguir un lindo sobre para meter alguna tarjeta de felicitación o una tarjeta de regalo y no consigues lo que estás buscando? Bueno, en ese caso es mejor hacerlo por nuestra cuenta, así que el día de hoy me voy a asegurar de que aprendas a hacer un precioso sobre en el que podrás guardar una tarjeta de regalo o de invitación, agradecimiento o felicitación, lo que quieras, es un lindo detalle, sobre todo cuando se hace con amor, además es muy fácil de hacer y solo necesitarás 4 cosas.

Let's do this 😃/Hagámoslo 😃
First, you'll need to use a ruler to make sure you're tracing correctly. You'll need to draw a rectangle measuring 19 centimeters long by 25 centimeters wide, and then cut it out.
En primer lugar deberás usar la regla para asegurarte de trazar de manera correcta y tendrás que trazar un rectándolo de 19 centímetros de largo por 25 de ancho, y posteriormente tienes que recortarlo.

Then take one of the tips and fold it as seen in the photo, forming a kind of triangle.
Luego toma una de las puntas y dóblala tal como se ve en la foto, formando una especie de triángulo
Then fold another corner to form a small triangle, and again fold that triangle inwards.
Posteriormente dobla otra de las esquinas hasta formar un triángulo pequeño, y nuevamente dobla ese triángulo hacia adentro

The other corner that you will have left over should also be folded inwards (as you can see in the photo). I recommend that you use a ruler or a set square like I am doing because it will help you mark all the folds more efficiently.
La otra esquina que te sobrará también debes doblarla hacia adentro (tal como puedes ver en la foto) Te recomiendo que uses una regla o una escuadra como estoy haciendo yo porque te ayudará marcar de forma más eficiente todos los dobleces.

It may seem crazy, but now unfold almost the entire paper, leaving only a small crease at one corner. What we were looking for with the previous folds was to have those sharp lines.
Te puede parecer una locura pero ahora desdobla casi todo el papel, dejando solamente un pequeño doblez en una de las esquinas. Lo que buscábamos con los anteriores dobleces es que estuviesen esas líneas marcadas.
After the previous step, turn the sheet over to work on the back. Now, find the side with a marked line (as seen in the first of the three photos below). Fold it upward (to make a new mark), and then fold that same edge toward the line just formed by the previous fold.
Luego del paso anterior voltea la hoja para trabajar por el lado de atrás. Ahora busca el lado que tiene una línea marcada (así como se ve en la primera de las tres fotos de abajo) Dóblala hacia arriba (para hacer una nueva marca) y luego dobla esa misma punta hacia la línea que se acaba de formar con el doblez anterior.

Start making inward folds, which are approximately half a centimeter long.
Comienza a hacer dobleces hacia adentro, que miran aproximadamente medio centímetro.

When unfolded, it should be in an accordion shape.
Al desdoblar te debe quedar en forma de acordeón.
It's time to mark those folds we made earlier, but this time it'll be one inward and one outward fold. The final result should look like the last photo when you hold it vertically.
Llegó el momento de marcar esos dobleces que hicimos anteriormente pero en esta ocasión será un doblez hacia adentro y otro hacia afuera. Al final debe verse como en la última foto cuando lo sostienes de manera vertical.

When you fold the paper in half, as you can see in the photos, a very nice shape will form when the two halves are joined together.
Al doblar el papel por la mitad, así como puedes ver en las fotos, se irá formando una figura muy bonita cuando se unan las dos mitades.

This is a cute little leaf that will serve as decoration on the envelope.
Se trata de una linda hojita la cual nos servirá como decoración en el sobre.

Fold the corner of the excess paper inward and then fold the entire sheet in half (Remember to always mark the folds with a ruler or your fingers).
Dobla la esquina del papel que te sobra hacia adentro y luego dobla toda la hoja por la mitad (Recuerda siempre marcar los dobleces con una regla o con tus dedos).

when folding the bottom fold and folding the top down, you'll have a cute little envelope with a decorative leaf. You can paint this leaf or decorate it however you like, although you can also leave it as is or use colored paper instead of craft paper, like I did.
Al marcar el doblez inferior y doblar la parte superior hacia abajo te quedará de esta forma, un lindo sobre pequeño con una hoja decorativa. Puedes pintar esa hoja o decorarla a tu gusto, aunque también puedes dejarla tal cual o usar papel de colores en lugar de papel craft como yo.
You can fill this envelope with whatever you want and give it to someone special. It's a nice option because I've always believed that when you make something with your own hands, it has even more value.
Puedes rellenar este sobre con lo que desees y obsequiarlo a alguien especial, es una bonita opción porque siempre he creído que cuando haces algo con tus propias manos tiene aún más valor.
