You are Fluffing Awesome, Super Ed!! Congrats!!! 💙

Lately, I have so much on my mind that I confess I find it difficult to post and comment on Hive. But you are definitely one of the reasons I keep coming back. I can't imagine Hive without you, and I agree 💯 with River's comment.

Now then, how much of that did you understand?

Jaja 0%. I want to get started with Scottish poetry, so could you please translate? 😉😂

You are ...

jeje Super Eli, Hive isn't the same without you to be honest 💙, but I know you have a lot going on. So when I do see you post or leave a comment it brightens my day.
As for the poem, the phrase "for all that" is a defiant way of saying, "despite all of that" or "in spite of everything." Guinea was a form of coin, and we still talk about 1000 Guineas in horse racing.
The stanza basically says that even if someone is poor and works at a job no one notices, their true value isn't in their social rank or wealth (the "guinea's stamp"). Instead, their true worth is in their character, which is the "gold" itself.
Here is a translation for you ...

Is there a man of honest poverty,
Who hangs his head and all that;
The coward slave, we pass him by,
We dare to be poor for all that!

For all that, and all that,
Our toil is obscure and all that,
The title is but the guinea's stamp,
The man is the gold for all that.

So when I do see you post or leave a comment it brightens my day.

💙💙

The message of the poem is very wise. I love it.

Gracias, Super Ed!! Eres tan especial querido 😘💙

jeje as are you Super Eli 😘💙
