Para nadie es un secreto la cantidad de personas que hoy proliferan a través de las redes con la intención de engañar y estafar a otros. Cada vez son más las experiencias desagradables de personas que han caído en algunas tramas que tocan el punto más delicado que podría enfrentar alguien, como lo es una enfermedad grave y la poca ayuda económica para solventar dicho problema. Es así como muchos acuden en busca de recursos y de un acto de solidaridad del cual no dejamos de extender nuestra mano en señal de apoyo, hasta que nos encontramos con una oscura realidad: una mentira disfrazada de necesidad.
It is no secret that there are many people today who proliferate across social media with the intention of deceiving and defrauding others. There are more and more unpleasant experiences of people who have fallen victim to scams that touch on the most sensitive issues anyone could face, such as serious illness and the lack of financial assistance to solve the problem. This is how many turn to others in search of resources and an act of solidarity, to which we never fail to extend a helping hand, until we encounter a dark reality: a lie disguised as need.
Este tema me surgió al leer la publicación de @tinabrezpike, en el cual nos comparte un hecho real y que involucra a muchos más. Para más información les dejaré el enlace de su publicación al final para que perciban cada detalle de lo ocurrido. Desde mi opinión, estas son cosas que pasan día a día, ya que como siempre decía mi abuela "Así como muchos salen para trabajar y ganarse lo suyo, así también algunos salen para hacer algo malo y aprovecharse de los demás". Y es que el simple hecho de armar una trama en base a la enfermedad de otra persona rebasa los parámetros de la vergüenza y la dignidad de alguien que es capaz de jugar con algo tan delicado para obtener algún beneficio.
Esto no es nuevo, pero lo cierto es que cada día es más común para la sociedad, siendo aquí donde quizás debamos dar un sentido de alarma para que nuestra plataforma no sea minada con eventos como el que estamos citando. No deseamos que Hive sea un nido de incertidumbre en los que al ver la necesidad de un usuario automáticamente pensemos en que es una estafa, una mentira la cual debemos desechar de inmediato. Entendiendo el punto, estas situaciones irregulares podrían incluso cerrar las puertas a quienes si estén pasando por serios problemas y necesiten de nuestro apoyo. Somos una familia de Hivers que compartimos intereses y contenido en gran variedad, así que también nos incumbe el poder estar allí para quienes nos necesiten.
This topic came to mind when I read @tinabrezpike's post, in which she shares a real event that involves many others. For more information, I will leave the link to her post at the end so that you can see every detail of what happened. In my opinion, these are things that happen every day, because as my grandmother always said, "Just as many people go out to work and earn their living, so too do some go out to do something wrong and take advantage of others." The simple act of concocting a plot based on another person's illness goes beyond the parameters of shame and dignity for someone who is capable of playing with something so delicate in order to gain some benefit.
This is not new, but the truth is that it is becoming more common in society, and this is where we should perhaps sound the alarm so that our platform is not undermined by events such as the one we are citing. We do not want Hive to be a nest of uncertainty where, when we see a user's need, we automatically think that it is a scam, a lie that we must immediately dismiss. Understanding the point, these irregular situations could even close the doors to those who are going through serious problems and need our support. We are a family of Hivers who share a wide variety of interests and content, so it is also our responsibility to be there for those who need us.
Me impresiona todo lo que una persona es capaz de planear a fin de aprovecharse de otras personas. Quizás por esto entiendo un poco a quienes son bastante secos o tajantes cuando alguien acude a través de una publicación para pedir ayuda. Es vergonzoso apelar a los sentimientos de una persona para obtener una ganancia deshonesta así que ya cuando alguien planea algo de este modo es porque ya no hay vergüenza ni consideración que valga. Es algo premeditado y estudiado para eso, para crear un engaño que lleve a muchos a caer y perder, no tanto el dinero que ya luego se pueda recuperar, sino la confianza en los demás. Es aquí donde podemos reflexionar para no dejar que estas cosas se hagan comunes en nuestra plataforma.
Al meditar en todo esto, considero a muchas personas que antes de pensar en una trampa o una estafa hacen lo que puedan a fin de encontrar los medios para solventar los problemas. No hay razón que valga para crear algo que lleva como única intención perjudicar a otros y beneficiarte a ti mismo. Sé que hoy muchos están afrontando verdaderas situaciones graves y aún así se privan de solicitar alguna ayuda, sabiendo que a través del trabajo y el esfuerzo se puede conseguir muchísimo más. Queremos que nuestra plataforma sea un hogar confiable en el que no tengamos que tener nada, y más bien podamos convivir e interactuar con la confianza plena de saber que nos estamos esforzando por hacer las cosas de manera correcta.
I am amazed at what people are capable of planning in order to take advantage of others. Perhaps this is why I understand a little bit those who are quite blunt or harsh when someone posts a request for help. It is shameful to appeal to someone's feelings in order to obtain dishonest gain, so when someone plans something like this, it is because they no longer have any shame or consideration. It is premeditated and studied for that purpose, to create a deception that leads many to fall and lose, not so much the money that can be recovered later, but their trust in others. This is where we can reflect so that these things do not become commonplace on our platform.
When I think about all this, I consider that many people, before thinking about a trap or a scam, do what they can to find the means to solve their problems. There is no valid reason to create something whose sole intention is to harm others and benefit yourself. I know that today many people are facing truly serious situations and yet they refrain from asking for help, knowing that through work and effort they can achieve much more. We want our platform to be a reliable home where we don't have to have anything, but rather can live and interact with the full confidence of knowing that we are striving to do things the right way.
