Greetings everyone. Today, I thought I'd share my new position with you, my school, and my neighborhood. It was a bit sad to leave my old school, which I'd grown so accustomed to. After that, adjusting to here was a bit challenging. But I'm happy to be in a different place and meeting different people.

Bugün sizlerle yeni görev yaptığımı okulumu ve mahallemi anlatmayı düşünüyorum. Çok çok alıştığım eski okulumdan ayrılmak biraz hüzünlüydü. Oradan sonra buraya alışmak biraz zorladı beni. Ama farklı bi yere geldiğim ve farklı insanlarla tanıştığım içinde mutluyum.
The school is 38 minutes from my hometown. It's a long commute. Because it's so far away, I have to get up early. But the day is long. It's better this way.

This is the district's most densely populated neighborhood. Its name is Çayırkent. It's a bit far from the city center. The roads get foggy in the mornings. Its elevation is comparable to a plateau, and it's actually very close to the plateau. People have a difficult life. They tend to focus on agriculture and animal husbandry. This place is especially famous for its potatoes. The roads are rough and broken. The school is old, and the students are very innocent.
Burası ilçenin en kalabalık nüfusuna sahip bir mahalle. Adı ise Çayırkent mahallesi. Burası biraz merkeze uzak. Yollar sabahları sis oluyor. Yüksekliği yayla ile eşdeğer. On Fridays, a market is set up here for locals to shop and meet their needs. This market sells clothing, fruit and vegetables, and agricultural goods.
Haftanın Cuma günleri buraya halk alışveriş yapsınlar ihtiyaçlarını gidersinler diye pazar kuruluyor. Bu pazar kıyafet, sebze ve meyve, tarımla ilgili eşyalar bulunuyor.
Today, my teacher friend and I went to the market. There's a type of mushroom unique to the Black Sea highlands. We wanted to pick some and try it with the teachers at school. Because it's unique to this region, we're experienced. But we decided to try it here for our friends who hadn't tried it before. The guy gave it to us for a bit of a price. But we figured it was bread money, so we paid for it. Afterward, we went to the stone oven for some warm bread. We bought some freshly baked, warm bread.
Bizde bugün öğretmen arkadaşımla pazara indik. Karadeniz yüksek kesimlerine özel bi mantar türü var. O mantardan alıp okulda öğretmenlerle beraber tadına bakmak istedik. Buraya has olduğu için biz deneyimliyiz. Ama daha önce hiç tadına bakmamış başka arkadaşlarımız için burada yapalım dedik. Amca bize biraz pahalıya verdi. Ama ekmek parası dedik bizde verdik. Daha sonra sıcak bi ekmek almak için taş fırına gittik. Yeni çıkmış, sıcak bir ekmek aldık.
Afterwards, we wandered along the road to school and started washing the mushrooms. The job fell to us. Because we knew how to do it. 😊 After cleaning them, we soaked them in salt water. They soaked for about half an hour. Then we put them on the stove to cook. This mushroom dish became our lunchtime meal together. It was a different experience for some of us. But the flavor was delicious, and the aroma was amazing.
Daha sonra yol boyu gezerek okula gelip mantarları yıkamaya başladık. İş bize düştü. Çünkü nasıl yapılacağını biz biliyorduk😊. Burada temizledikten sonra tuzlu suda beklettik. Yarım saat kadar suda bekletildi. Daha sonra pişirmek için ocağa koyduk. Hep beraber öğle arası yemeğimiz bu mantar yemeği oldu. Bazılarımız için farklı bi deneyimdi. Ama lezzeti çok güzel, kokusu muazzam.
Now we're waiting for the bell to go back to class. Even though our class is over, it takes us until evening to get home because the road is long. It's a bit of an exhausting marathon. I hope everything goes well and I have a great year. Thank you for reading. Have a good day, everyone.
