Yesterday, we finally had dinner at my in-law's house after missing our usual Saturday family dinner for a month. My husband had been so caught up in opening and managing our new burger stall that we hadn't had the chance to visit. After a month of being busy with work, he realized we hadn't gone to his parents' house in quite a while. So, yesterday, a Monday, when the kids were still on school holiday, my mother-in-law called to invite us over for dinner.
When we arrived, my father-in-law greeted us with two types of beer: Carlsberg and Guinness Draught Stout. Naturally, I went straight for my favorite – the rich, dark Guinness Stout. It was a relief, especially with the scorching hot weather. My father-in-law had chilled the beers in the freezer, and sipping it ice-cold on such a hot day felt like heaven.
As I enjoyed my beer, I couldn’t resist taking a picture to share with my beer-loving community. That’s when my mother-in-law cheekily remarked, “Waaahhhh, so happy drinking your favorite beer that your favorite father-in-law prepared for you!” I laughed and jokingly replied, “Well, I only have one father-in-law, so I’ll make the most of it. And yes, the beer is great!”
The evening was so relaxing, and I felt truly grateful for the time spent with family, enjoying good food, cold beer, and playful moments. It was just the break we all needed, and I was happy to share the experience with my beer-loving community. It's little moments like these that make life feel extra special!
