Mi novio y yo nos habíamos encargado de cuidar un carro mientras sus dueños estaban de viaje, es por eso que estuvimos muy pendiente de él todo este tiempo.
My boyfriend and I had taken care of a car while its owners were away, that's why we kept a close eye on it all this time.
Los dueños llegan dentro de unos pocos días y es por eso que lo estamos puliendo para entregarlo mejor de lo que nos lo entregaron.
The owners arrive in a few days and that is why we are polishing it to deliver it better than it was delivered to us.
El primer paso fue quitar cualquier papelito que estuviese dentro de él y las cosas importantes para ir al autolavado y darle un cariño especial.
The first step was to remove any papers that were inside it and the important things to go to the car wash and give it some special love.
Esta también fue mi primera vez haciendo toda la diligencia en un autolavado.
This was also my first time running all the errands at a car wash.
Luego de quitarle los papelitos y cosas importantes fuimos a hablar con una prima y preguntarle por un autolavado que trabajara muy bien, fue así como llegamos a este lugar.
After removing the papers and important things we went to talk to a cousin and ask her about a car wash that worked very well, that's how we arrived at this place.
Le preguntamos si tenían cupos y nos dijeron que sí. Preguntamos el tiempo de espera y nos dijeron que aproximadamente una hora.
We asked if they had spaces and they said yes. We asked about the waiting time and they told us approximately one hour.
Estacionamos el carro en el lugar indicado por el trabajador y nos mostraron una terraza de espera.
We parked the car in the place indicated by the worker and were shown to a waiting terrace.
Subimos las escaleras y nos encontramos una terraza grande y espaciosa, con unas sillas y mesitas. Gracias a Dios estaba este lugar porque era medio día y a esta hora el sol es muy fuerte.
We went upstairs and found a large and spacious terrace with chairs and tables. Thank God this place was there because it was midday and at this time of day the sun is very strong.
El tiempo pasó volando y en 40 minutos el carro ya estava limpio. Para serles sincera yo estava bien exigente y esperaba mucho de esta lavada, principalmente porque estamos en la mejor zona de la ciudad y personas muy importantes vienen aquí.
The time flew by and in 40 minutes the car was clean. To be honest I was very demanding and expected a lot from this wash, mainly because we are in the best area of the city and very important people come here.
Me pareció que quedó aceptable, pero no pulido, no sé si lo que pasó es que como ya era el último en el día ellos querían irse rápido y lo hicieron sin ponerle tanto empeño porque nosotros habíamos visto como se demoraban más con otros carros.
I think it was acceptable, but not polished, I don't know if what happened is that since it was the last one of the day they wanted to leave quickly and they did it without putting so much effort because we had seen how they took longer with other cars.
De todas formas nos fuimos contentos con nuestro carro bien limpio a pesar de que habían detallitos. Nosotros terminaremos de arreglar lo que falta y así quedaremos muy contentos al igual que sus dueños.
In any case, we left happy with a clean car, even though there were some small details. We will finish fixing what is missing and we will be very happy and so will the owners.
fue una experiencia bastante interesante y espero irme acostumbrando a hacer esto para que cuando tenga mi carro cuidarlo que la forma en que merece.
It was quite an interesting experience and I hope to get used to doing this so that when I have my car I can take care of it the way it deserves.
