Greetings, dear friends.
After a week full of tasks and work, we took a well-deserved rest on Sunday. By habit, I usually get up at 6:30 in the morning, but the level of exhaustion I brought with me was so great that I opened my eyes at 10:00 am. I couldn't believe it myself. That feeling of having slept without pressure, allowing the body to recover, was really wonderful.
This Sunday, we were all at home. We used the morning to organize the yard and give the rest of the house a good going over. It's amazing how the simple act of tidying up can be so important to wellness. After leaving everything in its place, we decided to go for a walk in the afternoon. We all agreed that it would be a good way to relax and above all do something different.
These days, the weather has been great, although a bit hot. So, considering the intense heat, we opted to walk around a shopping mall where we could enjoy the air conditioning. The comfort offered by these spaces, especially on hot days, is always a relief.

Después de una semana cargada de tareas y trabajo, el domingo nos tomamos un descanso muy bien merecido. Por costumbre, suelo levantarme a las 6:30 de la mañana, pero el nivel de agotamiento que traía conmigo era tan grande que abrí los ojos a las 10:00 am. Ni yo misma podía creerlo. Esa sensación de haber dormido sin presiones, permitiendo que el cuerpo se recuperara, fue realmente maravillosa.
Este domingo, estábamos todos en casa. Aprovechamos la mañana para organizar el patio y darle un buen repaso al resto de la casa. Es asombroso cómo el simple acto de ordenar puede ser tan importante para el bienestar. Luego de dejar todo en su lugar, decidimos salir a dar un paseo en la tarde. Todos estábamos de acuerdo en que sería una buena forma de relajarnos y sobre todo hacer algo diferente.
En estos días, el clima ha estado excelente, aunque un poco caluroso. Así que, considerando el calor intenso, optamos por caminar por un centro comercial donde podríamos disfrutar del aire acondicionado. La comodidad que ofrecen estos espacios, especialmente en días calurosos, resulta siempre un alivio.
Among my goals for the walk was to go to La Vela, a shopping mall that a friend told me about. She told me that they had put up some beautiful paintings with the theme of love, and my curiosity could not wait to see them. As we approached the place, the scenery was already beginning to capture my attention. From a distance you could see the Venetur Margarita hotel, slender and majestic, contrasting perfectly with the intense blue of the sky.
Entre mis objetivos del paseo estaba ir a La Vela, un centro comercial del que una amiga me habló. Ella me contó que habían colocado unos cuadros preciosos con el tema del amor, y mi curiosidad no podía esperar para verlos. Mientras nos acercábamos al lugar, el paisaje ya comenzaba a capturar mi atención. De lejos se podía ver el hotel Venetur Margarita, esbelto y majestuoso, contrastando perfectamente con el azul intenso del cielo.
Once inside La Vela, as we walked through the aisles, we could still appreciate the Venetur hotel through the large windows of the mall. From any angle, its structure continued to steal the show. It was a pleasure to stop from time to time to look at the view as we walked around the place.
Ya dentro de La Vela, mientras caminábamos por los pasillos, pudimos seguir apreciando el hotel Venetur a través de los amplios ventanales del centro comercial. Desde cualquier ángulo, su estructura seguía robándose el protagonismo. Era un placer detenernos de vez en cuando a mirar las vistas mientras recorríamos el lugar.
Upon arriving at the area my friend mentioned, I discovered that it was not a formal exhibit, but a beautiful love-themed decoration. Nevertheless, the paintings and details were really lovely. I took a moment to contemplate each of the works and really enjoyed the delicacy with which they were placed.
Al llegar al área que mi amiga me mencionó, descubrí que no se trataba de una exposición formal, sino de una hermosa decoración temática sobre el amor. No obstante, las pinturas y los detalles eran realmente encantadores. Me tomé un momento para contemplar cada una de las obras y disfruté mucho la delicadeza con la que fueron colocadas.
Unhurriedly, we continued to explore the mall, stopping here and there to observe whatever caught our attention. One of the things I enjoyed most was finding a landscape painting by the talented Venezuelan painter Theo Mora. It was strategically placed next to the elevator, as if waiting to be discovered by those of us strolling leisurely. It was an unexpected gift for the day, to appreciate such a beautiful work in a casual way.
Sin prisa alguna, seguimos explorando el centro comercial, deteniéndonos aquí y allá para observar lo que llamaba nuestra atención. Una de las cosas que más disfruté fue encontrar una pintura paisajista del talentoso pintor venezolano Theo Mora. Estaba estratégicamente colocada junto al ascensor, como esperando ser descubierta por aquellos que paseábamos sin apuro. Fue un regalo inesperado para el día, apreciar una obra tan hermosa de forma casual.
Along the way, we passed several coffee shops offering coffee services. Although tempting, the weather was crying out for something more refreshing, so we opted to enjoy an ice cream. We spent our time window-shopping, chatting and enjoying the atmosphere without pressure.
A lo largo del recorrido, pasamos frente a varios locales que ofrecían servicios de café. Aunque tentador, el clima nos pedía a gritos algo más refrescante, así que optamos por disfrutar de un helado. Nos dedicamos a observar vitrinas, a conversar y a disfrutar del ambiente sin presiones.
Dear friends, this is how our Sunday went, full of calm and simple moments. At the end, we returned home with renewed energy and ready to start a new week.
