We are entering the last days of September and the magic of Christmas is already beginning to be felt in the city, not only in the stores, where you can see displays with decorations alluding to the holiday, even some lights shine with great modesty in simple decorations, in the radio stations already sound the bagpipes and here too, in the Bolivar Square of Cumana, began the work to celebrate the end of the year.
As I passed by the place, I was watching a group of workers from the governor's office, who were inspired to set up structures with metal tubes that will give life to the decorations. I find it impressive how they organize themselves to give shape to the ideas, which change every year, even though they can keep the same essence.
The great assembly is just in its initial stage, which means that there are still days of effort, perseverance and dedication to be able to show a visual spectacle that responds to the magic of Christmas. Here I could see large figures typical of this date and also the iconic giant Christmas tree, which is quite tall and will need many lights to illuminate the whole place and can be seen from afar.
Plaza Bolivar has always been a place for meeting, gathering and recreation. On this occasion, I was also able to observe a group of girls preparing a choreography for their next performance. They were rehearsing with a small sound system and were giving each other tips to improve and be in tune, you can tell they love what they do and want it to be synchronized to offer a show that makes an impact.
Most likely everything will be ready for October, at the moment they are advancing in the assembly and painting phase, so it will be three months with the Christmas decorations, which is conducive for tourists and residents of the city to enjoy and take many family pictures. Every year I remember the joyful faces of the children as they walk along the road illuminated by a colorful sky. Little Alma's eyes shine when she sees this great display of lights, she asks to be taken there to run, play and have fun.

Entramos en los últimos días del mes de septiembre y en la ciudad ya se empieza a sentir la magia de la Navidad, no solo en las tiendas, donde se aprecian exhibiciones con adornos alusivos a la festividad, incluso algunas luces brillan con suma modestia en decoraciones sencillas, en las emisoras de radio ya suenan las gaitas y acá también, en la plaza Bolívar de Cumaná, iniciaron los trabajos para celebrar el fin de año.
Al pasar por el lugar, me quedé observando a un grupo de trabajadores de la gobernación, quienes estaban inspirados colocando estructuras con tubos de metal que darán vida a las decoraciones. Me parece impresionante cómo se organizan para darle forma a las ideas, las cuales cambian cada año, aún cuando pueden mantener la misma esencia.
El gran montaje apenas se encuentra en su etapa inicial, lo que significa que faltan otros días de esfuerzo, constancia y dedicación para poder mostrar un espectáculo visual que responda con la magia decembrina. Acá pude ver grandes figuras propias de esta fecha y también el icónico árbol de Navidad gigante, el cual es bastante alto y necesitará muchas luces para que ilumine todo el lugar y se aprecie desde lejos.
La plaza Bolívar siempre ha sido un lugar de encuentro, reunión y esparcimiento. En esta ocasión, pude observar también a un grupo de chicas preparando una coreografía para su próxima presentación. Ellas estaban ensayando con un equipo de sonido pequeño y se daban consejos para mejorar y estar en sintonía, se nota que aman lo que hacen y quieren que esté sincronizado para ofrecer un show que cause impacto.
Lo más probable es que todo esté listo para octubre, por los momentos están avanzando en la fase de ensamblaje y pintura, así que serán tres meses con las decoraciones decembrinas, lo cual es propicio para que los turistas y habitantes de la cuidad disfruten y se tomen muchas fotografías familiares.
