El acceso a la justicia o a la asesoría legal gratuita siempre ha sido un tema de suma preocupación en la población, puesto que no todos los ciudadanos conocen de leyes, derechos, obligaciones o inclusive las consecuencias que podrían tener sus actos. Es por esto que muchas instituciones se han preocupado por impulsar el acceso gratuito, práctico y educativo al sistema de justicia.

Al ser abogada suelo estar rodeada de problemas y no precisamente míos, sino de otras personas que recurren a mi o a mi equipo de trabajo en general en busca de ayuda para solventar sus desfavorables situaciones. El TSJ (Tribunal Supremo de Justicia) lleva aproximadamente un año y medio impulsando actividades tanto educativas como instructivas para permitir a los particulares convivir más estrechamente con el sistema de justicia y asi disminuir la necesidad de servicio legal que dispone la sociedad, a través de estrategias que trabajen más de cerca con las personas, principalmente llevando a las instituciones publicas-judiciales a las comunidades, limitando los trámites burocráticos y los lapsos inoficiosos de espera.

Access to justice or free legal advice has always been a matter of great concern for the population, since not all citizens are aware of the laws, rights, obligations or even the consequences of their actions. This is why many institutions have been concerned about promoting free, practical and educational access to the justice system.

Being a lawyer, I am often surrounded by problems, and not precisely mine, but those of other people who turn to me or to my work team in general in search of help to solve their unfavorable situations. The TSJ (Supreme Court of Justice) has been promoting educational and instructive activities for about a year and a half to allow individuals to live more closely with the justice system and thus reduce the need for legal service available to society, through strategies that work more closely with people, mainly by bringing public judicial institutions to the communities, limiting bureaucratic procedures and unnecessary waiting times.

Este mes tuve la oportunidad de acompañar a mi jefe a una de estas actividades, o como solemos llamarles "Tribunales Móviles" ya que nosotros nos movilizamos al municipio y espacio designado y atendemos a quien lo requiera, cabe destacar que no solo van tribunales penales, asisten todas las disciplinas existentes, desde los tribunales de protección como civiles, laborales, agrarios, etc. Nosotros fuimos en representación del Circuito Judicial Penal, que es el área en la cual hacemos vida y ejercemos, pero debo destacar que los tribunales civiles siempre son los que tienen más demanda de usuarios en este tipo de actividades.

Tuvimos la oportunidad de atender a unas cuantas personas, algunas tenían familiares detenidos o privados de libertad y pudimos encaminarles sus solicitudes, también asesoramos a una señora que quería ayudar a su hijo a borrar su registro integrado del sistema policial. Mi función fue anotar cada dato, número de expediente y delimitar la solución alcanzada a través de un escrito, ya que allí no poseiamos computadoras, sin embargo fue satisfactorio para mí ser de ayuda en esta actividad y en cada caso.

This month I had the opportunity to accompany my boss to one of these activities, or as we usually call them “Mobile Courts” since we mobilize to the municipality and designated space and attend to those who require it, it should be noted that not only go criminal courts, attend all existing disciplines, from the courts of protection as civil, labor, agrarian, etc.. We went on behalf of the Criminal Judicial Circuit, which is the area in which we operate and practice, but I must emphasize that the civil courts are always the ones with the highest demand of users in this type of activities.

We had the opportunity to attend to a few people, some of them had relatives detained or deprived of their freedom and we were able to direct their requests, we also advised a lady who wanted to help her son to erase his integrated record of the police system. My function was to write down each piece of information, file number and delimit the solution reached through a written document, since we did not have computers there, however it was satisfactory for me to be of help in this activity and in each case.

Todas las personas que atendimos se fueron contentas y quienes no solventaron a plenitud su situación al menos se fueron con una respuesta, con una cuota más de esperanza y eso es lo que importa. El derecho en la rama penal puede ser crudo, duro e incluso conmovedor pero es necesario mantenerse firme ante lo justo y saber guiar nuestra convicción, por muy criticada que sea ésta profesión puedo asegurarles que es la más bonita cuando amas lo que haces y te mantienes firme. 🙌🏽💗

All the people we assisted left happy and those who did not fully resolve their situation at least left with an answer, with a little more hope and that is what matters. The law in the criminal branch can be raw, hard and even moving but it is necessary to stand firm before what is right and know how to guide our conviction, no matter how criticized this profession is, I can assure you that it is the most beautiful when you love what you do and you stand firm. 🙌🏽💗
