Hello Lifestyle friends! It's already the sixth day of @hivecreator's #hivearoundtheworld initiative, and today the challenge takes us to the world of street food. I must admit I'm not a big fan of this type of food; I find it hard to eat standing up or at a makeshift kiosk, as I prefer the comfort of enjoying any snack.
In my country, Cuba, there are many stalls selling fried foods, including bread, peanut brittle, and churros, but there's one food that always sells and has gained immense popularity, and it's the only one I can eat under any circumstances: pizza. That delicious dish that, no matter where or how, I always find irresistible.
Although not originally Cuban, pizza has become deeply rooted in the island's culinary scene. We find it on every corner and in a variety of forms. We Cubans have adopted it as one of the most common foods, making it a part of our culinary routine. It's present in restaurants, bars, cafes, and kiosks, and even in improvised stalls that pop up everywhere. It's a symbol of convenience and flavor, a food that has endured for generations and circumstances.
For me, pizza is synonymous with simple and accessible pleasure. I love it in all its variations, although my favorite is the one with pineapple, with that contrast of sweet and savory that makes it unique. It's the perfect end to a busy day, an impromptu snack that never disappoints. With its spongy dough, melted cheese, and that never-failing touch of oregano, it represents more than just food: it's part of everyday life, of the ingenuity and culinary creativity that characterize Cuba.
Because every street pizza has a story, an improvisation, and above all, that flavor that, no matter the time, is always enjoyable.

Hola amigos de Lifestyle! , ya es el sexto día de la iniciativa #hivearoundtheworld de @hivecreator, y hoy el reto nos lleva al mundo de la comida callejera. Debo admitir que no soy muy aficionada a este tipo de comida; me cuesta comer de pie o en un kiosco improvisado, pues prefiero la comodidad para disfrutar cualquier bocadillo.
En mi país Cuba existen muchos puestecitos dónde venden fríturas , entre panes , tableticas de maní y churros, pero hay un alimento que se vende siempre y ha ganado gran popularidad , y esa es la única que si puedo ingerir en cualquier circunstancia , la pizza. Ese delicioso platillo que, sin importar dónde o cómo, siempre encuentro irresistible.
Aunque no es un plato originalmente cubano, la pizza ha logrado arraigarse profundamente en la vida culinaria de la isla. La encontramos en cada rincón y en una variedad de presentaciones. Los cubanos la hemos adoptado como uno de los alimentos más recurrentes, convirtiéndola en parte de nuestra rutina gastronómica. Está presente en restaurantes, bares, cafeterías y kioscos, y hasta en puestos de venta improvisados que emergen por doquier. Es un símbolo de practicidad y sabor, un alimento que une generaciones y circunstancias.
Para mí, la pizza es sinónimo de placer sencillo y accesible. Me encanta en todas sus variantes, aunque mi favorita es la que lleva piña, con ese contraste de dulce y salado que la hace única. Es el cierre perfecto de una jornada intensa, una merienda improvisada que nunca decepciona. Con su masa esponjosa, el queso fundido y ese toque de orégano que jamás falta, representa más que un simple alimento: es parte de la vida cotidiana, del ingenio y la creatividad culinaria que caracterizan a Cuba.
Porque en cada pizza callejera hay historia, hay improvisación, y sobre todo, hay ese sabor que, sin importar la hora, siempre se disfruta.
