Durante la búsqueda del sweater que quería mi hijo para navidad, la cual hicimos en Ciudad Ojeda, estuvimos visitando muchísimas tiendas.
Entre ellas visitamos El Tijerazo, una tienda departamental que tiene mucha trayectoria en el país. Recuerdo cuando era pequeña que mis papás me compraron varias veces la ropa de navidad ahí, creo que inclusive es más antigua que la tienda Traki.
En ella se encuentran o encontraban mejor dicho, mucha ropa de excelente calidad y a un buen precio, así que me pareció buena opción entrar para explorar que podíamos encontrar para mi hijo.

During the search for the sweater my son wanted for Christmas, which we did in Ciudad Ojeda, we visited many shops.
Among them we visited El Tijerazo, a department store that has a long history in the country. I remember when I was little my parents bought me Christmas clothes there several times, I think it is even older than the Traki shop.
I think it's even older than the Traki store. There you can find, or rather they used to find, a lot of clothes of excellent quality and at a good price, so I thought it was a good option to go in to explore what we could find for my son.
Habían muchas cosas en oferta, pero nada que se parciera a lo que buscábamos. En esta primera plata había unicamente ropa para niñas, dama y caballero.
Los precios variaban desde 1$ hasta 15 o más. Eché un pequeño vistazo para ver si al menos encontraba algo para mi pero no me gustaba nada de lo que veía.
There were a lot of things on offer, but nothing like what we were looking for. In this first silver there were only clothes for girls, women and men.
Prices ranged from $1 to $15 or more. I had a little look around to see if I could at least find something for myself but I didn't like anything I saw.
Al estar a punto de irme, noté que habían unas escaleras, aunque no sabía que podía encontrarme pues muchas de estas tiendas solo cuentan con una planta y en el segundo piso suelen tener el depósito.
Pero veía que muchas personas iban hasta allá, así que le pregunté a una empleada y me dijo que arriba estaba la sección de niños.
Pensé "¡Bingo!", y comenzamos a subir las escaleras. En la mitad del trayecto tenían una exposición de pinturas, muy lindas por cierto, me interesó porque quería tener referencia de en cuanto podían conseguirse cuadros de tal magnitud. Como sabrán soy artista y profesora de pintura, así que definitivamente es algo que me interesa.
Pasando esto tenemos otra pequeña sección en donde habían exhibido muchas cosas de la época navideña. Tuve que detenerme a verlas.
As I was about to leave, I noticed that there were some stairs, although I didn't know what I would find, as many of these shops only have one floor and the first floor is usually the storage area.
But I could see that many people were going up there, so I asked an employee and she told me that upstairs was the children's section.
I thought "Bingo!", and we started walking up the stairs. Halfway up they had an exhibition of paintings, very nice indeed, and I was interested because I wanted to have a reference for how much you could get paintings of such magnitude. As you may know I am an artist and a painting teacher, so it is definitely something that interests me.
Past this we have another small section where they had a lot of Christmas stuff on display. I had to stop and look at them.
Habían muchísimas cosas hermosas. Yo no soy de estar gastando el dinero que tengo en adornos pero definitivamente si pudiera lo haría jajaja
Muchas cositas hermosas para la cocina, cortadores de galletas (algo ideal si se tiene un emprendimiento en estas fechas). También manteles y bandejas para decorar la mesa en noche buena y fin de año.
There were so many beautiful things. I'm not one to spend the money I have on decorations but I definitely would if I could haha.
Lots of beautiful things for the kitchen, biscuit cutters (ideal if you have a business at this time of year). Also tablecloths and trays to decorate the table on New Year's Eve and New Year's Eve.
Algunos precios eran accesibles, otros no tanto como este tarro para galletas de cerámica en 20$. Si estos artículos existen a tales precios es porque hay compradores para ellos, pero me pareció muy costoso comparado a la economía que se maneja en el país.
Igual no quita la oportunidad de deleitarse con estas linduras y soñar por un ratico el tenerlas en casa.
Some prices were affordable, others not so affordable, like this ceramic biscuit jar at $20. If these items exist at such prices it is because there are buyers for them, but it seemed very expensive compared to the economy in the country.
Still, it doesn't take away the opportunity to indulge yourself with these cute things and dream for a little while of having them at home.
Al llegar por fin a la planta donde estaba la ropa de niños nos encontramos con la mala noticia de que no había nada de la talla de mi hijo.
Es difícil encontrar actualmente en algún lugar algo de su talla. La ropa es muy chica o ya de adulto. No habían chaquetas, lo más cercano que vimos fue este pantalón con un bolsillo como de chaqueta (?) jajaja.
When we finally got to the floor where the children's clothes were, we were met with the bad news that there was nothing in my son's size.
It is difficult to find anything in his size anywhere these days. The clothes are either too small or too adult. There were no jackets, the closest thing we saw was this pair of trousers with a pocket like a jacket (?) hahaha.
Para artículos del hogar si está perfecta esta tienda ya que tienen mucha variedad y precios relativamente accesibles. Estos vasos en forma de fruta me encantaron jajaja una de esas compras innecesarias que haría feliz de la vida.
Ya de camino a la salida notamos una gran cantidad de personas comprando los juguetes para dar en noche buena. habían buenas ofertas en esta sección.
No encontramos lo que buscábamos pero si pasamos un momento agradable viendo las cosas que ofrecen en la tienda. Ya luego en otra encontramos la chaqueta, este cuento lo podrán encontrar visitando mi perfil. ♥
For household items this shop is perfect as they have a lot of variety and relatively affordable prices. I loved these fruit shaped glasses hahaha one of those unnecessary purchases that would make me happy for life.
On the way out we noticed a lot of people shopping for toys to give on Christmas Eve. There were good offers in this section.
We didn't find what we were looking for but we did have a nice time looking at the things on offer in the shop. Then in another one we found the jacket, this story can be found by visiting my profile. ♥
