Hace algunos días vi la publicidad en el Instagram del centro comercial Costa Mall que se iba a llevar a cabo una conferencia en su salón de eventos.
El tema de la conferencia era "Vision Board, visualiza tu futuro y hazlo realidad", e iba a ser dictada por el conferencista Luis Guillermo Durán. Me llamó full la atención porque desde finales del año pasado he estado trabajando en todo lo que tiene que ver con visualizar mis metas y propósitos.
Y esto no solo porque fuera final de año, sino que en los últimos 4 meses del año cambié mi forma de ver la vida, le di otro enfoque y los resultados comenzaron a verse casi que de manera inmediata.
Creo que es importante plantearnos metas y sobre todo mantenerlas presente a diario para no perder nuestro norte. Cómo les digo, a final de año quise crear mi vision Board, sobre todo desde que vi la iniciativa de la comunidad.
Por diversas razones y excusas no terminaba de ponerme manos a la obra, por lo que está conferencia me cayó como anillo al dedo. Que mejor motivación que esa y además nos darían las pautas necesarias para no fracasar en el intento.
La conferencia era completamente gratuita, algo que lo hacía muchísimo más atractivo para mi. Así que no dudé en apartar mi cupo y ya solo tocaba esperar el gran día.

A few days ago I saw the advertisement on Costa Mall's Instagram that they were going to hold a conference in their event hall.
The theme of the conference was "Vision Board, visualise your future and make it happen", and it was to be given by the speaker Luis Guillermo Durán. It caught my full attention because since the end of last year I have been working on everything that has to do with visualising my goals and purposes.
And this is not just because it was the end of the year, but because in the last 4 months of the year I changed my way of seeing life, I gave it another focus and the results began to be seen almost immediately.
I think it is important to set goals and above all to keep them in mind on a daily basis so that we don't lose our bearings. As I said, at the end of the year I wanted to create my vision Board, especially since I saw the community initiative.
For various reasons and excuses I couldn't get down to work, so this conference came as a perfect fit. What better motivation than that and they would also give us the necessary guidelines to not fail in the attempt.
The conference was completely free, which made it even more attractive for me. So I didn't hesitate to book my place and now I just had to wait for the big day.
Tenía un poco de dudas en cuánto al día y la hora, ya que acá los domingos es súper complicado tomar transporte y sobre todo en horas de la tarde. Aún así no me desanimé y arreglé todo para salir.
Demoré un poco en tomar transporte pero lo logré, ya luego vería como me regresaba jajaja.
I had some doubts about the day and the time, because here on Sundays it is very complicated to take transport, especially in the afternoon. Even so, I was not discouraged and I arranged everything to go out.
It took me a while to get transport but I made it, and then I would see how I would get back hahaha.
Al llegar todavía faltaba media hora para comenzar, el salón de eventos aún estaba cerrado, por lo que me quedé caminando un poco por el centro comercial, claro, cerca del sitio para estar atenta para cuando abrieran las puertas.
Finalmente se hizo la hora y las personas se comenzaron a acumular en la puerta, en su mayoría eran mujeres. Había una lista en donde verificaban tu nombre y ya luego nos dejaron pasar.
When I arrived there was still half an hour to go, the event hall was still closed, so I walked around the mall for a while, of course, close to the site to be alert for when the doors opened.
Finally it was time and people started to accumulate at the door, mostly women. There was a list where they checked your name and then they let us in.
Al entrar me senté en una de las mesas que estaba cerca de la puerta. En ella habían unos pinceles y unos vasitos con pega. No me sentí cómoda porque veía que el escenario me quedaba algo retirado así que me coloqué en la mesa que quedaba justo al frente que tenía sillas disponibles.
When I entered I sat down at one of the tables near the door. There were some paintbrushes and little glasses with glue on them. I didn't feel comfortable because I could see that the stage was a bit far away from me, so I sat at the table just in front of it, which had chairs available.
Junto a nosotros había una mesita la cual tenía varias cartulinas, las cuales suponía que eran en las que íbamos a hacer nuestro vision board.
Esperamos algunos minutos a que terminaran de llegar todas las personas y por fin se le dio inicio a la conferencia.
Next to us was a small table which had several pieces of cardboard on it, which I assumed were the ones on which we were going to make our vision board.
We waited a few minutes for everyone to arrive and then the conference began.
La sala estaba llena de personas, como les comenté en su mayoría mujeres de edad madura y por su aparecía la mayoría eran profesionales en algún área.
A lo largo de la conferencia nos dimos cuenta que la mayoría tenía conocimientos previos del tema al igual que yo, e inclusive muchas ya habían hecho vision board.
Se nos dio mucha información valiosa, principalmente la manera correcta en la que debemos plantearnos metas. De esto me gustaría hablarlo en otro post más a profundidad ya que es un tema algo extenso y que merece dedicarle su tiempo.
The room was full of people, as I mentioned, mostly women of mature age and by the looks of it most of them were professionals in some area.
Throughout the conference we realised that most of them had previous knowledge of the subject like me, and many of them had already done vision board.
We were given a lot of valuable information, mainly the right way to set goals. I would like to talk about this in another post in more depth as it is a somewhat extensive topic and deserves some time.
Luego se le dio la oportunidad a los presentes para que hablaran de sus propósitos para este año y finalmente tras un pequeño cierre para comenzar con nuestra manualidad, nos comenzaron a entregar las cartulinas y algunas revistas para que comenzáramos a hacer nuestros recortes.
A esta conferencia también asistió mi compañera y amiga de la academia Elieska, quien se había inscrito sin saber que yo también asistiría. Fue hasta el día previo al evento que nos dimos cuenta de eso jaja.
Afterwards, those present were given the opportunity to talk about their resolutions for this year and finally, after a short closing to start our craft, we were given the cardboard and some magazines so that we could start making our cut-outs.
This conference was also attended by my colleague and friend from the academy Elieska, who had signed up without knowing that I would also be attending. It wasn't until the day before the event that we realised that haha.
Todos estaban recortando imágenes y frases relacionadas con sus propósitos para este 2024. También se reían de las cosas que se encontraban en las revistas.
A mi el tiempo comenzó a jugarme en contra pues ya eran las 6 de la tarde y por ser día domingo, se me iba a complicar la venida a la casa.
Así que pensé en recortar algunas cositas y ya luego en casa con más tiempo podría pegarlos y hacer mi vision board tal y como lo imaginaba.
They were all cutting out pictures and phrases related to their resolutions for 2024. They were also laughing at the things they found in the magazines.
Time began to play against me because it was already 6pm and as it was Sunday, it was going to be difficult for me to come home.
So I thought of cutting out some things and then at home with more time I could glue them together and make my vision board as I imagined it.
Ya luego guardé mis cosas y me retiré de la sala casi a las 6 y 30 de la tarde.
Al salir y ver el sol casi oculto me desesperé un poco por llegar a la avenida para tomar transporte pero por fortuna encontré uno apenas crucé.
Fue una experiencia muy completa la que viví y por supuesto que esos conocimientos los estaré compartiendo con ustedes para que le saquemos el mayor provecho y podamos cumplir con todos nuestros propósitos ♥
Then I put my things away and left the room at almost 6:30 in the evening.
When I went out and saw the sun almost hidden I was a bit desperate to get to the avenue to take transport but fortunately I found one as soon as I crossed it.
It was a very complete experience that I lived and of course I will be sharing that knowledge with you so that we can get the most out of it and we can fulfil all our purposes.
