Espero que muy bien, hoy me gustaría compartir con ustedes una salida que tuve con uno de mis compañeros de trabajo quien se ha convertido en mi mejor amigo y no habíamos tenido de salir juntos antes, salvo ir a una disco, así que para esta ocasión decidimos un plan más tranquilo, también porque él es barista y como a mi me está interesando ese rubro que de cierta forma tiene que ver con el mío (pastelería) quiso que yo probara algunas variedades de café que sirven en una cafetería cercana a nuestro trabajo porque allí hacen filtrados y cafés de especialidad, y él quería que yo tuviera una experiencia sensorial, gustativa y visual del café, pero ese lugar estaba cerrado, por lo tanto fuimos a Charlotte café, donde por cierto yo trabajé hace algunos años 😃

I hope very well, today I would like to share with you an outing I had with one of my coworkers who has become my best friend and we had not had to go out together before, except for going to a disco, so for this occasion we decided a quieter plan, also because he is a barista and since I am interested in this field that in a way has to do with mine (pastry) he wanted me to try some varieties of coffee that they serve in a coffee shop near our work because there they make filtered and specialty coffees, and he wanted me to have a sensory, gustatory and visual experience of coffee, but that place was closed, so we went to Charlotte coffee, where by the way I worked a few years ago 😃.
Afortunadamente no había mucha gente, de hecho en las fotos el lugar parece un poco desértico pero sí había algunas personas allí, esta cafetería es más comercial que el lugar donde queríamos ir, donde además la experiencia visual y sensorial del café era mucho mejor, pero de todos modos lo que queríamos mi amigo y yo era también pasar tiempo juntos lejos del trabajo, conversando acerca de trivialidades aunque también conversamos cosas que tienen que ver con el trabajo.
Fortunately there were not many people, in fact in the pictures the place looks a bit deserted but there were some people there, this coffee shop is more commercial than the place where we wanted to go, where also the visual and sensory experience of the coffee was much better, but anyway what my friend and I wanted was also to spend time together away from work, talking about trivialities although we also talked about things that have to do with work.
Una de las cosas que notamos enseguida fue la ausencia de meseros además de clientes, ya que cuando yo trabajaba allí hace como 8 años, había muchos meseros, así que ahora funciona como un McDonalds (autoservicio) por lo tanto mi amigo y yo fuimos a la caja directamente a pedir lo que deseábamos, él ordenó un expreso lungo y un café americano, mientras que yo pedí un latte vainilla porque es mi favorito 😊. Luego nos dieron un dispositivo que emite un sonido cuando tu orden ya está lista. Pero como tenía dudas acerca de la ausencia de personas y meseros pregunté y entonces comprendí que todo tenía sentido, lo que sucede es que cuando yo trabajaba ahí esa era la única sede de la ciudad, por lo tanto siempre estaba muy llena, pero ahora abrieron más sucursales, creo que ahora hay 7 en total y de hecho hay algunas cerca de allí (donde estábamos mi amigo y yo) así que los clientes se distribuyeron en esas otras sedes. Esto me alegra porque sin dudas es un gran alivio para el personal que antes estaba sobrecargado de trabajo.
One of the things we noticed right away was the absence of waiters as well as customers, since when I worked there about 8 years ago, there were many waiters, so now it works like a McDonalds (self-service) so my friend and I went to the cashier directly to order what we wanted, he ordered a espresso lungo and an American coffee, while I ordered a vanilla latte because it's my favorite 😊. Then they gave us a device that beeps when your order is ready. But since I had doubts about the absence of people and waiters I asked and then I understood that everything made sense, what happens is that when I worked there that was the only location in town, so it was always very crowded, but now they opened more branches, I think there are now 7 in total and in fact there are some close to there (where my friend and I were) so the customers were distributed in those other locations. This makes me happy because it is definitely a great relief for the staff who were overworked before.
De verdad que pasamos un muy grato momento y yo por mi parte sentí una experiencia muy diferente estando allí como cliente y no como empleada (aunque ya había ido otras veces) pero aunque me gusta mucho ese lugar para ir como cliente, en el trato hacia su personal deja mucho qué desear, aunque claro, lo digo basándome en mi experiencia de años atrás, ahora no sé como será en ese sentido.
We really had a very pleasant time and I for one felt a very different experience being there as a customer and not as an employee (although I had been there before) but although I really like this place to go as a customer, the treatment of the staff leaves much to be desired, although of course, I say this based on my experience of years ago, now I do not know how it will be in that sense.
