Hi guys, Motunrayo here 👋🏽
Why do people end up transferring aggression to others? It isn't nice at all.
It is 12:32am here, and I was rolling on my bed; I just couldn't sleep. I kept thinking about what happened today.
I'm a law student and the chamberlain of the chambers; it also means a financial secretary or a treasurer. I'm expected to text members of the chambers about the payment of dues.
It is expected to be paid on or before the fifth week of resumption; however, I decided to text more than half of the chambers today because school will soon resume and we need the money for payment of things like the venue for meetings, snacks during meetings, and other miscellaneous items.
I texted quite a number of people today, and they responded. Most of the conversations went beyond the payment of dues. I was able to advise my junior colleagues on the courses to pick. They sent their money without stressing me.
However, I texted a particular girl. She is my classmate, though we don't talk, just greet, and that is all. I greeted her this evening and told her that I just texted to remind her about payment of dues, and the next thing this girl did was to insult me, asking why I would be texting her when school hasn't resumed and that she is still enjoying her break. I explained to her calmly that it was just a friendly reminder; it is not compulsory to pay now, it is just better to pay early.
After some minutes, she texted again that she was sorry for the way she acted, that she was not in a good mood, and that I texted at a bad time. Why do people always transfer aggression? Nah, it is very unfair. This is what has been keeping me up, and I've been thinking about it, just rolling on my bed. I know that she apologized, but being in a bad mood is not an excuse for transferring aggression to others.
Anyways, that's what was keeping me awake and rolling on my bed. I feel much better venting through words in this community.

Thanks for Reading.
