Hello Hivers of this community @ThrowbackThursday. I was happy to discover this community because it was a great opportunity to us who wants to share their great experiences, achievements and moments on the past, not only to remember but to cherish.
As, I was browsing my gallery. I stumbled on my photos which is taken during the sportsfest of my previous work year 2022.
I can’t help myself but smile, as I try to remember that moment. It was the best time I had when I’m still a teacher.

This event allows the students to showcase their interests on different kind of sports, like badminton, volleyball, basketball, chess and ping-pong. My students were very excited for this event. Also, we really had so much fun for 5 days. My advisory was also competitive because as I remember, I told them that if they won on the sports or if they participated even if they don’t win, I will give them a reward, and for that they became eager to participate on the event.
That was only one of the events that I really missed when I’m still a teacher.

My first advisory class was ABM strand, they specialize in accounting, business and management. I’m happy that I experienced to handle different kind of personalities of a student has. As a teacher, it’s really challenging for me to handle 500 students, 60 students belong to my advisory and the rest are other strands in senior high school and I’m their subject teacher that time.

What really taught me when I’m still a teacher is that, no matter how intelligent you are, if you don’t build a good relationship with your student, you will become a terror teacher and they end up resenting you. I was a chill teacher back then, I don’t pressure students that much, I want them to enjoy what they learn to my subject, because I was once a student and I always put myself on their situation. My subject was a little bit difficult which is Mathematics, so I want them to take Math not as a hard subject but a subject that would help them in a day-to-day aspect.

So much for that, I also became their second parent, what I really miss about being a teacher is the bond that we had, they became my children and as a second parent I also became their adviser. There was a time a student opens up to me about life, for me it was really a great impact if we listen to our students because it gives them assurance that when nobody listens to them, there is at least one person that is willing to help and listen.
I really miss my first advisory class; they are different personalities but they are sweet students and full of dreams. So, I still keep these pictures with them, and brings back a lot of memories when I’m still a teacher. I’m still rooting for each of them for them to achieve their dreams.
That’s all my dear hiver friends of this community. Till’ next throwback blog to share again in this community.
Sincerely, @saijan19
