Always remember the magic

Throwback to the last time I soaked up the magic of Disney with son and the fambam, April 2023. I told him it was a bad time to visit as it was easter and the parks were rammed. But he wouldn't listen.

Find a spot, get comfy. elbows out if necessary. Do not invade my space, you are not welcome in my face. 9:00pm will soon be here.

Disney is the second-largest buyer of explosives globally, but takes the crown as the king of purchasers of fireworks. Ironically produced and shipped in from China.

A massive $40,000 is spent on fireworks a night - adding up to an eye-watering $50 million on average in a year. Small beer considering its about $100 a ticket a day per person.

That will now obviously go up considerably, well done The Donald, and we ain't talking the duck here.

For over 50 years the skies above Cinderella Castle have been illuminated by fireworks, in a nightly show, delighting the millions of park visitors; at first it was only lasting a few minutes, but now, well it's all fucking amazing with light shows, music, lasers and predominantly smoke free pyrotechnics that go on for a good half hour.

I really can't get my head around people who scorn at Disney Holidays, have you ever been? No? Then you have no right to condemn the mouse and his lovers,(it's like food snobs who have never had a macadees, yet stick their noses in the air at us who feast with the Ronald).

So, forget the corporate money sucking, find your inner child and for a few weeks relax be free and be someone less immersed in the bitter and twisted real world.

Discover the magic, be inspired to find your own happy ever after.

I really like how you describe it with such affection, because it really is a special place, a dream location, perfect for enjoying yourself, although I see from your photos that there are certain times of year when it's best to avoid it because of the crowds 😅 but there is magic in enjoying such enchanting scenes surrounded by a crowd, and I see that this was the case on this occasion. I'm glad you enjoyed it so much and, even more so, that you shared it on #TBT Thursdays. Thank you for being here, my friend! 🙏

Cheers @jesuslnrs , thanks for stopping by, I love your enthusiasm and positivity for my efforts. Have a great weekend ahead.

Disney is the second-largest buyer of explosives globally

From China no less 😂

Those tariffs are going to push up ticket costs on an already expensive fun park

The fireworks are epic at Disney to be honest. We took the family there in December 2001 and thanks to 9/11 it was virtually empty. The irony is palpable. 💸💷👍

yeah can't complain at the fireworks and the rides tbh. Empty gtheme parks wow that must have been bliss on a stick!

Yeah our kids loved it. They were on the fire and ice rollercoaster for almost an hour non stop 😂👍

Oh mine! It feels like I am there already with these beautiful views, I can only create an imaginary picture to add to yours.

With how expensive everything are this days, I can only wish to visit this place but meanwhile I will have to dream on.

Thanks for sharing.

Cheers @ginika thanks for stopping by, I love your positivity, have a great weekend

You are welcome.

👍

Disney parks always look amazing, I hope to go to one someday and get a front row view of those nighttime fireworks lighting up the castle with that cool play of light. The pictures came out very cool, I enjoyed every single one of them, plus I'm in tune with your final reflection, we must not let our inner child die 🙌😀💛... Greetings, You Rockkk!!! 👍😎🔥📸❤️

Cheers @fernanblog thanks for stopping by, love your positive vibes and yearning to be a little kid in a big kid, appreciate your great inspiring comments about my snaps too. Have a great weekend ahead.

Fantastic photos!!!
I had visited Disney Paris before kids but the true magic is in Orlando. One needs Americans in the midst.

Haha - I have some critiques but I am allowed because I've been there - done that. 😀
It was 2014 - we loved it but hated the crowds. Our fast pass did not make it faster as everyone seemed to have it as well. It was summer-time and the crowds were still overwhelming.
It was magical indeed - so much so - we decided to spend 2 days there instead of previously planned 1 day and night. However - that was enough and we decided never to return again. 😀

never return again LOL, I say that every time I have visited but.....

I get what you mean about fast passes bit of a con really and yes the crowds can be horrendous. Previous visits have been septemberish and its not so busy, but son was restricted in his holidays.

Aww to be honest I should never say never because if invited I would go again. 😀 maybe September next time.

😎

Hahaha... and we're not talking about the duck here! You are hilarious. I went to look at the Walt Disney logo, I swore it had fireworks. Then I discovered its many variations. How interesting!

Cheers @nanixxx , yes the logo does have fire work type surrounds, apparently the display is meant to mimic them.

Quack quack

I remember going to Disney World as a child, and it was such a wonderful experience. Those holiday crowds are no joke though, good on ya for taking the family anyway.

Cheers @giathebao , memories that last a lifetime. have a great weekend ahead

Thank you, you too!

👍

It looks amazing @grindle, must be magical to draw you back despite the crowds (and the $100 ticket).
I can only but dream!
Always better sharing something that holds zgreat memories with the kids, so I understand why you put up with the crowds.

yes indeed, @lizelle , great memories with the family, need to treasure those moments as you know, they survive forever
