Things have started to really pick up after what happened the last time, but instead of proceeding with the story, I needed to get around the Forbidden West a little longer. Earn better gear, get tougher, more skills to unlock, and so on. NGL, it got easier taking on the machines now.
After finding the copy of GAIA, and stumbling onto the Zeniths, Aloy had to fight off one of them, and was forced to flee knowing what she did. Trouble followed her, till she blew a hole in the construct, leaving it filled with water, before dragging her within the river beds, and out of it. A close encampment with Varl took her to get rest. But also preparing for what's next.
I forgot to take more photos of the night, but there's a lot of color variations, fog, and what things look like from just several stories high. Side quests open up to more about what's going on in the world, including affairs involving the citizens just doing the wrong stuff.
Sometimes there's too much water, and you know what, it wasn't a smart move to blow the entire crack on the wall, you didn't take pressure into account now did ya? Of course plot armor saved ya.
Just after getting out of Chainscrape, taking out a bunch of chargers before the Scroungers come back.
Did the Scrounger gig for this guy, since he's making this new armor, I have go elsewhere and find sentinel scroungers to well, shoot and get their antennas. These machines get weirder and fascination the more of them I discover on my path, like every encounter ends with intense battles.
Someone put a bunch of Bristlebacks in an old railway, one that looks like a mine of sorts. I spot 3 of them, with a bunch of explosives around the place. Barrels of Blastpaste. Turns out someone is hiding them to cause a ruckus in Chainscrape in order to turn the social unrest to his favor.
Following the trails of the Bristlebacks, found a Tenakt rebel base that has hijacked machines, and many of their units available to strike back. The same Blastpaste barrels are found here as well inside a mine.
The area of dissent, this is where all the operations at. Distress causing the Bristlebacks to attack the town. This has opened a sinkhole in the Tenakt rebel's base camp.
So yeah, I got around to nearly finishing the guy's new armor, which as he states, can withstand damage from fire and blasts. It's just falling short of one key component, and that comes from a Fanghorn somewhere in the North. More busy work it seems.
Also, the Bristleback, and rebel base having those barrels have a connection leading to Ulvund. As if wasn't bad enough he runs the town like a mob boss, blaming Carjas for everything. While causing so much trouble for the townsfolk, muscling them in to his will. Unfortunately for him, Aloy managed to reveal what his shenanigans have led to, and thus he was finally banished.
Had to climb the tallneck, this guy I tried to climb up through the radio tower. But didn't at first that I had to shoot down the ladder, now that I did. Just glided using the shield, and we're good. Sorry If I couldn't take the shot of her gliding, it was very tricky to say the least.
Ha, surprising the rebels like pop out, they were everywhere, but still not good enough to take down Aloy here. Now with better armor, and weapons to boot. This camp is pretty big though.
Varl, and Zo, his Utaru love interest were waiting for me here. The plague seems to be spreading very fast.
