I shared my early journey, but now I am in the Deep-Zone. Where the perpetually hostile environment drives me insane even further. If it wasn't for the accessibility option, this wouldn't have happened in the 15hrs time I've spent. And seeing how well it is selling, I can assume this won't die anytime soon.
This game is difficult to put down, it went from being an adventure to now just trying to get further into its story and find out how it all came to be. It never stops establishing new things for its world-building, it keeps more coming. The anomalies, resource points, and environment designed all changes up everytime the same area is visited. It gets too crazy at the end.
I also went from being invincible to having my tires flat out, die, or just loosen up. Backup batteries oxidize leak, lights flickering, windshield wipers not working, etc. Remind me to next time if I had to pick a car to drive in the apocalypse, I'd pick this one instead.
The first time I kind of died, I went back to my grave in this junction. Got most of the items I lost. It's like Dark Souls, what would have happened if I died again before I picked everything from here.
I cannot stop using the Fabrication station, I literally managed to beef up my car extremely.
And 12hrs into the game, I finally got to having more than one abilities. One is a hydraulic that bolts my car up. Next is a car shield, and the other heals me (not the car). Unfortunately they also ate up my battery.
I was more than ready this time. I was super into the deep-zone. This is zone 2, the one place where unstable anchor and crazier circumstances come up. But going further, and further, I spend way more time trying to cruise around dangerous areas, avoid things hitting me from anywhere, even air.
Yeah, those are Marsh Eggs, and the orange bubbles contain something called Tree Candy. But I didn't have the right equipment to get the latter out yet, so more going about. I'll tell you what though, place is surrounded by toxic swamp holes, flying goop monsters, and like there's a whole list of them.
The Unstable Anchors, actually I thought it would look more interesting and varied. This and the Corrupted ones. They all look the same, but with harsher color variations this time.
Finally, I got rid of my slow as heck engine. This next upgrade needed serious resources from the deep to make, and I finally did it. Only good vibes from now, it mostly pushes to 80MPH, but that's like 30% increase and good enough for me. Climbing on higher slopes is still a little tricky though.
There's this green goop source that kept spewing stuff. But what was weirder were the Abductors, they just kept circling around it. Usually they have a fixed path for patrolling, but I have this theory that anything that can have metal, or something similar can get them offtrack. That's like 3 of them circling around, yikes.
Imagine being a loot hoarder, scanning something that is recognized 50 feet above you, and not seemingly finding a way above to collect it. Yeah, those orange light bulbs are such. Nevermind, I guess.
I am now much further into the deep zone, there are some horrors not worth visiting. These things are terror incarnate, just everywhere and can easily destroy my vehicle. Oh man, I really have my work cut out for me. This is just absurd, and my health also keeps going down.
At one point, my car was almost out of oil, and I was surrounded by Misty Darkness. Anomalies left and right, the background noises just haunting me. Spend 15 minutes going around, finding much fuel as possible. This was like PTSD from some indie horror game.
My baby is all in new spec. Lead doors, extra fuel and battery, more storage, red spray, it's stronger overall.
Remember those statues that glow red and blows if you hit em? This is the abomination they've become. Like driving around that red zone under can sustain damage already, combine with this thing though 😦.
Nope, just nope. Those floating blue balls can be vacuumed. But, it's around the toxic clouds, and those abominations that blow up. I left soon after, unfortunately I have to come back for the story.
