There was a guy. He was the first son of his parents. They were 3 boys altogether. This boy was misinformed. Let me start it that way. Misinformation is one of the root causes of addiction. The boy was misinformed about life. He thought that to become something in life, one must feel high. This is what everyone who is caught in the web of addiction does. They want to feel high. They want to live outside the normal world. They want to fly high in their illusion. Addiction is a satanic deception of the highest level.
What has become of that boy whom I was telling you about? He is gone now! He is dead and gone many years now. That was what he got from all his adventure of feeling high and operating with higher influence. I wish that our articulate young men and women would learn from such a story as this and turn a new leaf. What good is there to gain from addiction? Of what advantage is it? There is nothing good about addiction. There is no good in submitting one’s self unto such a deadly monster like addiction.
How can someone overcome addiction? It takes determination. It takes determination before one can be free from addiction. One has to decide that he or she wants to obey God and to honor God in his or her body. When you decide to honor God in your body, you will not do anything that dishonors God with your body.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (KJV) What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
