Our Lord Jesus Christ told us that we would be the favorites of the Father if we obey His commandments. That means that those who obey the commandments of God are those that He is happy with. God will not be pleased with anyone who refuses to obey His commandments.
Those whom the Father is not pleased with are those who are disobedient to the commandments of God. These are referred to as the wicked. Anyone who ignores God's instructions is wicked. The Lord hates those kinds of people.
Doing the will of the Lord is what will make us true disciples of Jesus Christ. True disciples are those who are obedient to the will of God. They are those who love God and delight in carrying out his commandments. They are those who have the commandments of God to heart.
To be able to do the will of God, one must know the word of God. This is why we must study the Bible daily. We must listen to the doctrines of God and follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. When we obey the laws of God, we be able to do His will.
