We are adjure to be good people, that is for all of us who are the believers in Jesus Christ. Our Lord Jesus Christ is our Mentor. He teaches us to do good. He was a good doer when He was on earth. The Bible says that God anointed Jesus Christ with power and with the Holy Spirit and went about doing good. He was doing good to everyone. This did not show that he was discriminating between those who are closed relatives from foreigners. No, he was doing good to everyone. He healed the sick. He raised the dead. He gave sight to the blinds. He made the lame to walk. He made the dump to speak. Jesus Christ went about doing good.
We are admonished by the same God to do good to all men. We are to follow the footsteps of Jesus Christ and bless the world with good works because the world is already covered with darkness. The whole world lies in darkness. The men of the world are breed in wickedness. The imagination of their hearts are continually evil. So, in this world of darkness, we need light. It is the children of the Light who will illuminate the world with the light of good works
We cannot claim to belong to God and refuse or ignore the concept of good works. The gospel cannot be preached without doing good to men. The message of the kingdom of God is one that brings healing and deliverance. So, doing good works is an obligation which we cannot ignore. Let us do good always and in every place to all men.
