Matthew 28:20 (KJV) Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Today is Sunday. As christians and followers of God, it is customary for us to get to churches where we have the opportunity to listen to the teachings of God. There are many kinds of teachers who teach people different kinds of things as the doctrines of God. Many of the teachings we are receiving contradict each other. This clearly suggests that the sources are not all the same. If the sources were to be the same, we wouldn't have different interpretations to the teachings of God.
2 Peter 2:1 (KJV) But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
The reality of false teachers arises from the fact that we are fed with different kinds of teachings and doctrines. If we are following the same God and we are hearing different instructions from those who claim to be teaching us the commandments of that God, then some of those teachers must be false. False doctrines are everywhere in the church of God. The false doctrines give people wrong attitudes and practices in serving God.
Matthew 17:5 (KJV) While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.
Jesus Christ alone is our Teacher. He is the Teacher whom God has sent to come and teach us the truth. He is the Teacher who knows the way to God. To be able to do the will of God successfully, we must listen to the teachings of Jesus Christ. The teachings of Jesus Christ are written in the Bible. So that we will be able to please God, we have obey Jesus Christ and follow His commandments.
