Hi MCGI fams! It's my first time writing here on @mcgi.cares community and I'm so glad on the topic I'm starting with on here. FORGIVENESS
Following Brother Eli's video and description on forgiveness, when you forgive it means you have a trait of God and you prove to be the true son of your father.
Forgiveness or act of forgiving is not a deposited gift of man but can be learned. When you forgive, there's an internal peace and joy that radiates not only in your heart but on your face. Your heart is less burdened and you're able to go before God in cleanliness of your heart, open to him in your supplications just as we say in the Lord's prayer.
Act of forgiving is so sacred that the scripture makes us to understand that our Lord Jesus is pleading for us everyday before his father. All for what? Just so we can be forgiven and not perished within a second of the wrath of God our father.
There are some situations that occurs, some betrayals that happens, some walls of confidences that are broken down purposely initiated by God just for us to see the world in a different way and learn to forgive.
You can't love God when you fail or refuse to forgive. Not reacting to issues the harsh way you're expected to doesn't mean you're not smart enough. It only shows how matured and how far you are in his expectations from you as a real child. Forgiveness heals wounds, forgiveness makes you free from every hidden grudge or hatred. Forgiveness shows how much you love yourself enough to get detached from every form of bitterness from not forgiving those who offends you.
As we forgive those who trespass against us....
We are bound by this line in the Lord's prayer to ensure that we forgive before we go to God in prayers.
The question now remains that: Can we always forget even after forgiving wholeheartedly?
I'll be dropping my 🖊️ here on my insights about forgiveness.
Thank you for reading through 🤗
