Greetings everyone.
A few days ago I attended a wedding reception, the place was in a building called Sulanjana Sukabumi West Java. The wedding reception used the Customs and tradition of the Sundanese tribe, West Java.

I came to the wedding reception building early at around 8 am to see the series of stages of the wedding process. The interior of the reception building which was quite spacious in the evening before dawn, was well arranged and decorated.

Several wedding series, especially the wedding ceremony series, had been completed. Before the bride and from sit down at the altar, there is a series of reception processed, namely Sawer or Saweran which means that the bride and from are given advice, given advice on how to lead married life.

Sawer or giving advice to the bride and from is represented by a sawer standing behind the bride and from who are sitting on chairs, facing the parents and family who are standing on the bride and groom's stage. After the sawer gives advice on be half of the bride and groom's parents.

Then the parents and families of the bride and groom who are on stage, throw coins, rice, turmeric wrapped in plastic, candy and peanuts wrapped in plastic as symbols of running the household. Like money is a symbol that in the household money is very necessary for life, and a husband can provide for his wife.

Rice as a symbol of peace in the household, rice is the main thing, as well as a symbol of prosperty. Turmeric as symbol of mutual respect, as a symbol gold, candy as a symbol of harmony, sweetness in living life, happiness.

Peanut shells symbolize married life, not forgetting parents and family, also peanuts in sawer are a symbol of fertility and togetherness in carrying out married life. That is the Sawer custom and culture in the Sundanese wedding process.
