A delightful threat for children.
What a long beautiful bright day indeed!.
Today is blessed with both house chores and other related work and it seems even more stressful because I had to nurse my three weeks old baby,
I've not been active on hive for some days now, not that I lack ideas but I have to give my baby attention,
Luckily for me today, my sisters came visiting and will be staying for some days meaning I will have some time to myself.
I made this dish some day ago but don't have time to post it , I had to cease this golden opportunity to post it and also prepare another one.
This is my first time making steamed cakes and am glad I didn't mess up my dish😁,
I made this dish using all the ingredients that am about to list below...
- 4 piece of Potatoes
- 1 cup of flour Flour
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 2 sachet of milk
- 1 tablespoon filled of baking powder
- 1 teaspoon filled of cinnamon powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of green food color
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg
- Warm warm for mixing
I found out that good time milk is a non diary product,it is a very nice milk and I love the creamy nice taste, but I hate the fact that it doesn't dissolve easily when added to cold water.
For someone who loves both cold and hot tea, I would only go for this product whenever I feel like taking hot tea and that's too bad😔,
But aside that, I love every other thing about this milk product,
I love the raw taste (l love licking raw milk), I love it when added to hot tea or coffee.
I started by washing and peeling my potatoe peels , Then I cut it into my desirable shapes and boiled it Using a clean pot, water and salt.
Once my potatoes becomes tender, I removed it from heat, drained the excess water and smashed it to paste and set aside.
In a clean bowl, I added my 1 cup of flour, 1/2cup of sugar, 2 sachet of milk, 1 tablespoon of baking powder,1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder , salt to taste and mixed together.
I made sure they were evenly mixed.
I bowled some lukewarm water and added it to the dry ingredients, then I mixed it with my hand mixer.
I added the potatoes paste to the flour mixture and continued mixing with my hand mixer until everything was evenly mixed.
I separated it into two different bowls, then added my green food color to one bowl and left the other one.
I prepared my cupcake pan using oil and flour, then I poured my mixture into my cupcake pan .
Now is time to steam my cake.
I didn't know it was that simple ,
At first I was scared of messing up my dish after a long preparation but luckily for me, I was able to do it.
I added some water to the pot, and allowed it to bowl,
I added my cupcakes to a big cake pan and placed in inside the boiling pot of water and allow it to bowl for a minimum of 30 minutes.
The cake looks beautiful from the outside judging from its beautiful colors, and it also taste really nice.
It wasn't fluffy but it has a wonderful taste.
My husband loves it and it bought a nice juice to take a long side it.
I would love to hear from you,
If you love my recipe, please leave a comment and it you don't, please leave a comment too.
Thanks for reading till the end,
Yours faithfully yummycruz1
