Una tierna mirada / A tender look

Buscando una señal del Cielo
ví la tierna mirada de un niño
y en sus lindos ojos amor, cariño,
inocencia, paz y consuelo.

Searching for a sign from Heaven
I saw the tender gaze of a child
and in his beautiful eyes love, affection,
innocence, peace and comfort.

Dios, en su infinita misericordia,
nos hace partícipes de su Gracia;
«en la mirada, verbigracia, de un niño»
nos refleja su amor y su Gloria.

God, in his infinite mercy,
makes us sharers in his Grace;
«in the gaze, for example, of a child»
he reflects his love and his Glory to us.
