Welcome to a new post, dear Hiver!

In June, I only read one book.

And yes, I openly admit it because it's the truth. I use every bit of my free time to read (which was very beneficial), so thanks to that, I was able to finish a book.

I still don't know how they manage to read 10 books a month. For me, it's quite complex. Although I love reading, I have to work and also take care of other things that mean a lot to me, like my kindergarten and studies.

However, I'm sharing this achievement with you because it's been a while since I've been able to finish my reading. Mostly due to a lack of organization.

I also read the Bible, one chapter a day. So my reading hasn't been bad at all. Now that's what I think about.

So I just said to myself: Go ahead, read a little bit every now and then, and you'll see that you'll finally acquire all the wisdom of this magnificent work, and you'll achieve the goal of reading at least one book a month.

So that's how I did it.

And the lucky one is: The Richest Man in Babylon, written by George Samuel Calson.

From which I took many notes that are now in my notebook. I also memorized them because he's right from beginning to end.

What's it about?

The book shows you how to manage your finances through stories inspired by ancient Babylon.

It may remind you of a children's story because it uses the same method to trap desperate adults who want money but don't know how to get it.

So, little by little, it gives you all its wisdom, through each step.

This book will hit you in the face several times

When I read it, I felt like someone was slapping me in the face. Because its message is forceful, marking it in red on the blackboard of your brain: YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR FINANCES, COME TO YOUR SENSE ONCE AND FOR ALL.

Of course, it won't tell you this way, but in a very subtle way, but if you are someone who has made some of the mistakes shown in the book, believe me, you'll want to be an ostrich and bury your face somewhere.

However, although it gives that feeling, it also provides something that I consider significant, and that is to show you that in life you will make mistakes in your finances due to lack of knowledge, but that everything has a solution, which is simpler than it seems.

This book teaches you how to manage your money, and also about life

Being persistent, working hard, owning your own things, making wise decisions, taking care of your family... These are some of its lessons.

I thought it was just a finance book, until something clicked when I read this: *"It brings a man's heart contentment to eat figs from his own trees and grapes from his own vines. Owning his own home and having it as a place he's proud to care for gives his heart confidence and greater effort behind all his endeavors. Therefore, I recommend that you shelter him and his family."

I kept thinking about that, so I had to stop reading.

Although it's addressed to a man, as a woman I can also take it for myself. It's no surprise, I'll be honest. I've always liked having my own things and working for them; it's something I find satisfying.

So it makes me think further. About that partner I'll find one day, so I can say that that little paragraph would be a perfect description.

Caring, loving, knowing the fruits of effort and also everything it takes to get there is important for life. It's important for learning to appreciate. Otherwise, it's difficult for anyone to care for or understand this concept.

And at that moment, I completely understood it. I understood why some people don't understand it, why they don't make the effort, why they don't care. All because effort is the key to learning, especially in this field.

The book shows you that nothing comes from nothing, that everything has a reason. And even if you have everything "from nothing," you must acquire certain knowledge, otherwise you won't be able to continue the work someone else has done.

And I feel this message is quite important, something that is directed at everyone: children, men, and women. The way it communicates this and much more leads to reflection. But not the kind that just makes you think for a while and forget, but one where its message is forever engraved in you.

So, do I recommend the book?

I definitely do. That's why I've already sent it to some friends so they can read it too. So far, I've received positive feedback on this recommendation.

So now I'm deciding to share my thoughts here and recommend it to you too.

I hope it's helpful for your life and your finances.
