Note that I'd never stopped to think about the differences between the versions of Little Red Riding Hood. I find what you say about the girls' ages and how the details of the story change to suit a younger or older audience incredibly interesting. It's incredible how such a well-known tale can have such significant variations, especially in the ending, which is where you really see the difference between a happy ending and a darker, more moralistic one. A very good analysis, indeed.
