Masked Reflection ~ Reflection Hunters Contest ~ 231 [ENG/ESP]

in Shadow Hunters5 days ago

Hello friends, I hope you're having a beautiful day. I'm so happy to be participating again in the Reflection Hunters Contest. Today, I’m entering with a photo from my personal archive, taken during the years when COVID was at its harshest.

This photograph is free to use, as I uploaded it to several stock agencies during that time and it has been featured in various articles. It was originally taken in color, but I’m the only one who holds the original—the black and white version is the public one, and also my favorite. It captures a moment when face masks were part of daily attire: in a shop window, a mannequin wearing a mask gazes out at the street and the passersby. The urban background merges with the reflection on the glass, as if contemplating a melancholic, desolate scene. It conveys isolation and silent observation.

It’s a moment from an ordinary scene, captured like one might capture a ghost—making you question what you see and what remains hidden. Thank you, friends, for staying with me until the end, and for allowing me to share and show what I consider one of my best photographs. Sending you a big hug and, as always, wishing you all the luck and success in the world. Bye!

¡Chau!
