between rope
and shadow,
between books
and horizon
distorted in the image.
Your reflection remains,
just
when the light is gone.
My legs have decided
not to walk together
to contradict me
like someone who thinks
they once walked together,
or once
they didn't contradict me
and were just
a reflection of your steps.
The reflection of you in the windows hits my face
like someone crossing borders
to give you sunflowers.
I still have the knife in my back
leaving me bloodless
with every breath.
The last hummingbird feather hangs on my balcony
with the scar of the nest
and dawn breaks.

Queda el viento
entre cuerda
y sombra,
entre libros
y horizonte
trastocados en la imagen.
Queda tu reflejo,
justo
cuando no existe la luz.
Mis piernas han decidido
no caminar juntas
para llevarme la contraria
como quien piensa
alguna vez caminaron juntas,
o alguna vez
no me llevaban la contraria
y eran solo
un reflejo de tus pasos.
Me golpea el rostro
el reflejo de ti en las ventanillas
como quien cruza fronteras
para regalarte girasoles.
Aún tengo el cuchillo en la espalda
dejándome sin sangre
a cada aliento.
Cuelga en mi balcón
la última pluma del colibrí
con la cicatriz del nido
y amanece.
