What a beautiful lake, it would be a perfect place to visit if it weren't for the deafening screech of the cicadas.

        They only live 5-6 weeks so we are about half way through their life cycle... It will be lovely to enjoy the quiet again after they die off. Then the 17 year cycle will begin until we hear them again. They are such fascinating insects.
