Visiting the elderly woman felt like stepping into a quiet room waiting to exhale. She had been ill for quite some time, yet the moment my family walked in, something shifted. Her face brightened instantly, and when my children rushed to hug her, it was as if warmth filled the entire space. We spent the afternoon laughing, cooking, and sharing little lessons about family, stress, and the beautiful chaos of raising children.
The visit became so enjoyable that my kids completely refused to go home. After plenty of playful persuasion and a few promises, they finally agreed to leave. In the middle of that lively moment, my eyes caught something gentle— the soft reflection of the window casting a shadow on the tiled floor. It felt symbolic, like light settling into a quiet place. Without hesitation, I captured it, wanting to remember the peace shining through that day.
And with the same joyful heart, I celebrate today with @melinda010100 on the amazing Round 400 of the @shadowhunters SMASh contest. My gratitude goes to all the sponsors who have made this hunting a beautiful space for diverse shadow displays. Every day, I see incredible shadows and stunning artistic interpretations. I'm constantly amazed by the wonderful members in this community— their perspectives and talents are truly worth emulating. I learn and grow here daily, and I consider myself privileged to be part of this great community of Hivers. This is truly a place to be.
Back to my visiting experience—here are the shots I took in response to the @shadowhunters SMASh Community Contest initiated by @melinda010100—Round 400!!!:
