We all practically have been talking about our love for movies and has it has impacted us so far but we have also totally shifted aside it negative effect on us because definitely anything that has an advantage also has a disadvantage, so this is me saying thank you to Hive-Reachout community for coming up with this amazing topic because on our own we hardly would have thought about this, for this week and practically today I would be participating on the contest topic which says The Negative Effect Of Movie.
I would like to classify this negative effect of movies into two categories which are; internal and external negative effect of movies and as I go further you would understand it better, this effects actually depends on individual differences because what may affect me might not be what would affect you infact it can actually mean nothing to you while watching, before specifying on a particular movie negative effect on me let me generally pick on movies because it's from that concept that you would be able to understand what can affect me per a movie. One of the outstanding external negative effect I know is addiction in the sense that when a person keeps watching movies regularly and prioritize it over every other thing such person can get addicted to watching movies and that was what happened to me exactly.
I loved watching movies that I hardly go out rather I stay indoors watching atleast five movies a day to the extent that my back would pain me for lying down for that long but I never saw it as anything that would affect me infact when others tell me that I am getting addicted to movies I would just get angry at the person, the next one is on the category of internal negative effect where I all these Nigeria movies and my mind gets corrupt when I see them having sex in the movie, funny enough they might not go naked but I would just find myself having dirty thoughts and sometimes dreams like that so it was a big battle them most especially when I watch movies that have those serious sex parts in them and nobody actually knew about this because I didn't mention.
One of the movie I watched within last year per say because this year I have been so busy to watch movies regularly, the movie is "Love In The Every Word" it's a popular movie because it blow the internet at it's first release, the movie is 100% good I wouldn't lie to you, it came with a different line story that hasn't been showcased in the Nigeria film movie Industry infact it made people watched it over and over again, my mum at home couldn't get over the movie she kept on watching it everyday because the more you watch you just develop interest for it again as if you haven't watched it before, the negative effect it had on me for that while is that I started having high expectations for the men approaching me at that season.
It was more like a check and balance for me where I would check the standards of the Odugwu in that movie and the person standing in front of me, it became bad for me because I started seeing every guy less in the sense that they are nothing or has not reached anywhere in life, so that was how I began to see the world until life begin to dawn on me and it's effect started to fade, I have actually gotten rid of the effect because basically my focus now is not on the status of any person coming around me now rather it's on working on myself inorder to grow beyond this me.
