“Nothing exists without a purpose!” Such was one of the remarkable utterances from the minister where I worshipped yesterday. Honestly, I think it was kind of nice to have waited to this point, before making this post. The words of the minister echoed more in this discourse, which will add to what I wish to share. Certainly, nothing exists without a purpose; nothing! Not even non-human elements.
I mean, if something exists without a purpose, then what's the essence of its existence? Either serving one or more purposes, there's something anything and everything serves for the reason as to why it exists. No manufacturer will make a thing for no reason; to just remain or stay dormant I don't think so.
Talk of humans then; the highest species in the cadre of living beings, we can't be without a purpose for our existence. Much like with every creation of a manufacturer, made to serve a purpose, function-be it to provide some services, solve some issues, or even create some issues-we have a purpose to serve as well.
Now, we coming into being is well explained by science, so wonderful and admirable, but just as the prompt details read, it's beyond the ordinary, there's an extraordinary action to it. And honestly, I believe that's what makes the point and position of purpose more valid and a topic to consider/discuss. Unlike a manufacturer's product, we're beyond just a product, but beings blessed and endowed with a lot to serve for the reason we exist.
Do we as humans have a purpose? Absolutely! What's the nature of that purpose? Here's where the conversation gets deeper. As stated earlier, I'll be picking one or two points from the minister's words yesterday, in addition to my position. One of such was that all of us have a purpose, yet a person's purpose, individually is unique. There's something special about him or her, something unique that could affect the world for good.
Making mention of figures like Charles Babbage, Thomas Edison, Karl Benz, the Wright Brothers all of these persons brought something into the world that altered the state of it, and today are solemnly remembered for it, in life or death. The purpose of a person then is unique, not something natural or general. It could look general in some sense, but one thing I consider is that there's always a distinct element to it, a little bit of sauce that makes a difference.
Our purposes could lead us to become innovators, manufacturers, leaders, and all forms of personalities. There's a purpose in it all, as mentioned earlier We can't just be here in the world to sojourn and then exit. There's something to bless our world with that we carry within, just like the renowned figures of this century and beyond who have gone down in history to affect the world.
Worthy of mention is that these purposes could sometimes not be loud and seen as perhaps those of others. However, it could be a silent balm, healing and relieving the world and the people in it, quietly. The ultimate purpose which is to serve that purpose meant is the main concern, and should be what truly matters.
Like a product from the manufacturer's desk that comes with a manual to guide its use, so I believe we as humans can find our purpose. We were made with a purpose, such as the manufacturer with the perfect idea of the nature and purpose of their product, we find ours in our creator as well. We seek and follow those things we're led to from within by true interest and passion. That could be just the thing or things we're meant to serve a purpose for.
