This week has been full of commitment, dedication and meetings. While not exactly my favorite, they have all been necessary to ensure that each party involved in the projects is satisfied with the results. Meetings require patience and a lot of attention to detail, especially when it comes to negotiations or work adjustments. At the end of the day, I know that these meetings allow each task to flow better and achieve the goals we have set for ourselves.
Like every day, I left home early in the morning to head to the Unik Hotel, the epicenter of my attention this week due to the remodeling of their pool. It has been a major project, full of constant adjustments and revisions to ensure that every detail is completed to perfection. My husband has gone out of his way to rearrange his own work to support me, covering some of the necessary routes. This has allowed me to better focus on my responsibilities. It has also been a special treat to be able to enjoy the scenery of the Island during these trips. Despite the cloudy days, the natural and urban charm remains intact, only transformed with a different hue and feel.

Esta semana ha estado llena de compromiso, dedicación y reuniones. Aunque no son precisamente mis favoritas, todas han sido necesarias para asegurar que cada parte involucrada en los proyectos quede satisfecha con los resultados. Las reuniones requieren paciencia y mucha atención a los detalles, especialmente cuando se trata de negociaciones o ajustes en el trabajo. Al final del día, sé que estos encuentros permiten que cada tarea fluya mejor y que se logren los objetivos que nos hemos propuesto.
Como cada día, desde temprano he salido de casa para dirigirme al hotel Unik, el epicentro de mi atención esta semana debido a la remodelación de su piscina. Ha sido un proyecto importante, lleno de ajustes y revisiones constantes para garantizar que cada detalle se cumpla a la perfección. Mi esposo ha hecho todo lo posible por reorganizar su propio trabajo para apoyarme, cubriendo algunos de los recorridos necesarios. Esto me ha permitido enfocarme mejor en mis responsabilidades. También ha sido un detalle especial el poder disfrutar del paisaje de la Isla durante estos trayectos. A pesar de los días nublados, el encanto natural y urbano permanece intacto, solo se transforma con otra tonalidad y sensación.
Upon arrival at the hotel, we checked in and I waited to be attended to. While I was getting ready for the meeting, my husband took another tour, which was a great help. With meetings you never know how long they will take; sometimes they start out structured, but when there are a lot of opinions and adjustments to discuss, the time becomes relative and runs longer than expected. In this case, we finished around two o'clock in the afternoon. I wasn't very hungry because we had had a small snack at 11:30 am, which helped keep me energized during the conversation. Before leaving, I let my husband know I was on my way to meet him.
Al llegar al hotel, nos registramos y esperé ser atendida. Mientras me preparaba para la reunión, mi esposo se encargó de otro recorrido, lo cual fue una gran ayuda. Con las reuniones uno nunca sabe cuánto tiempo tomarán; a veces comienzan de manera estructurada, pero cuando hay muchas opiniones y ajustes por discutir, el tiempo se vuelve relativo y se extiende más de lo esperado. En este caso, finalizamos cerca de las dos de la tarde. No tenía mucha hambre porque habíamos tenido un pequeño refrigerio a las 11:30 am, lo cual ayudó a mantenerme con energía durante la conversación. Antes de salir, le avisé a mi esposo que ya estaba en camino para encontrarnos.
After the meeting, we set out to find a place where we could buy Thinner, as my husband needed it for his work. We set out for the city, but every place we visited told us they were out of it.
Después de la reunión, nos propusimos encontrar un lugar donde pudiéramos comprar Thinner, ya que mi esposo lo necesitaba para sus trabajos. Salimos camino a la ciudad, pero en cada sitio que visitamos nos decían que ya no quedaba.
We decided to return home, but on the way we passed through Asunción and saw a store specializing in paint called “La tienda del Pintor” (The Painter's Store). Luckily for us, they had Tiner there and at a good price. We did not hesitate to buy it after all the effort we made to find it. I only needed one liter but they sold the gallon and in the end I could save it for future needs.
Decidimos regresar a casa, aunque en el trayecto pasamos por Asunción y vimos una tienda especializada en pintura llamada “La tienda del Pintor”. Para nuestra suerte, ahí sí tenían Tiner y a un buen precio. No dudamos en comprarlo después de todo el esfuerzo que hicimos para encontrarlo. Solo necesitaba un litro pero vendían el galón y al final lo puede guardar para futuras necesidades.
With a calm mind and a happy heart for having completed all the tasks we had set for the day, we took the road back home. Along the way, we continued to appreciate the scenery of the island.
Con la mente tranquila y el corazón feliz por haber completado todas las tareas que nos propusimos para el día, tomamos el camino de regreso a casa. Durante el recorrido, seguimos apreciando el paisaje de la Isla.
The day was productive and satisfying, but also exhausting. Once home, I was still faced with the task of completing some reports. After a day full of commitments and activities, I felt the weight of tiredness, but also the satisfaction of having accomplished what was necessary. Not every week is the same at work, some require more effort. However, each day brings with it new challenges and learning, and that is what really keeps me enthusiastic about continuing to strive every day.

El día fue productivo y satisfactorio, aunque también agotador. Una vez en casa, todavía me esperaba la tarea de realizar algunos informes. Después de un día lleno de compromisos y actividades, sentía el peso del cansancio, pero también la satisfacción de haber cumplido con lo necesario. No todas las semanas son iguales en el trabajo, algunas requieren más esfuerzo. Sin embargo, cada día trae consigo nuevos retos y aprendizajes, y eso es lo que realmente me mantiene con el entusiasmo por seguir cada día esforzándome.
