Greetings, dear community. Today I want to share with you how my day went, filled with small tasks, conscious decisions, and pleasant moments.
As I have told you in previous posts, this time of year is usually quieter for our company. After a fairly intense and busy month, we have entered a calmer phase, which allows us to breathe a little and get better organized. Although the pace has slowed down, we remain alert and prepared for any eventuality that may arise. Planning and readiness continue to be key in our day-to-day operations.
Today, we had two main objectives: to carry out our usual work routine and to pick up some pumps that we had sent for repair and mechanical maintenance. These pumps are essential to our operations, so keeping them in optimal condition is a priority.
Our first stop was at the Sunsol Unik hotel, where we carried out our routine measurements and chlorination. Everything went smoothly, and both we and the hotel staff were satisfied with the results. The weather was perfect; a cool breeze and clear skies made the day even more pleasant.
Mi saludo, querida comunidad. Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes cómo transcurrió mi día, lleno de pequeñas tareas, decisiones conscientes y momentos agradables.
Como ya les he contado en publicaciones anteriores, esta época del año suele ser más tranquila para nuestra compañía. Después de un mes bastante intenso y cargado de trabajo, hemos entrado en una fase más calmada, lo cual nos permite respirar un poco y organizarnos mejor. Aunque el ritmo ha bajado, seguimos atentos y preparados para cualquier eventualidad que pueda surgir. La planificación y la disposición siguen siendo claves en nuestro día a día.
En esta jornada, teníamos dos objetivos principales: cumplir con nuestra rutina habitual de trabajo y recoger unas bombas que habíamos enviado a reparar y darles mantenimiento mecánico. Estas bombas son fundamentales para nuestras operaciones, así que mantenerlas en óptimas condiciones es una prioridad.
Nuestra primera parada fue en el hotel Sunsol Unik, donde realizamos nuestra rutina de medición y cloración. Todo se desarrolló sin contratiempos, y tanto nosotros como el personal del hotel quedamos satisfechos con los resultados obtenidos. El clima acompañó de manera perfecta; una brisa fresca y un cielo despejado hicieron que la jornada fuera aún más placentera.
Once that task was completed, we went to the workshop where the pumps were located to check if they had finished the maintenance. To our delight, the mechanical work was already done. All that remained was the painting. At that moment, the workshop manager was very honest with us, something I deeply appreciate. He explained that the paint they used was not of the best quality and offered us two options: they could paint them there and then, or we could take them away unpainted and apply a better quality paint ourselves. He also assured us that they would deduct the cost of this work from the total repair bill. I sincerely appreciated his honesty and, thinking about durability and a good finish, I decided to take them away unpainted.
Una vez finalizada esa tarea, nos dirigimos al taller donde estaban las bombas para verificar si ya habían culminado con el mantenimiento. Para nuestra alegría, el trabajo mecánico ya estaba listo. Solo quedaba pendiente la pintura. En ese momento, el encargado del taller fue muy honesto con nosotros, algo que valoro profundamente. Nos explicó que la pintura que ellos manejaban no era de la mejor calidad y nos ofreció dos opciones: podían pintarlas allí mismo o podíamos llevarlas sin pintar y aplicar nosotros una pintura de mejor calidad. Además, nos aseguró que descontarían ese trabajo del costo total de la reparación. Agradecí sinceramente su sinceridad y, pensando en la durabilidad y el buen acabado, decidí llevármelas sin pintar.
After leaving the pumps at our warehouse, we took a break for lunch and to rest for a few minutes. Then we set off again with a new goal: to find a good paint for iron that would guarantee durability and a professional finish. We were recommended a store across from the Conejero market, known for being well-stocked. However, when we arrived, we found that it was closed. We didn't know the reason, so we decided to keep looking.
Después de dejar las bombas en nuestro depósito, hicimos una pausa para almorzar y descansar unos minutos. Luego, retomamos la marcha con un nuevo objetivo; encontrar una buena pintura para hierro que garantizara resistencia y un acabado profesional. Nos recomendaron una tienda frente al mercado de Conejero, conocida por estar bien surtida. Sin embargo, al llegar, nos encontramos con que estaba cerrada. No supimos la razón, así que decidimos seguir buscando.
Our next stop was at the ring road, where a new paint store called “El Mundo del Color” had just opened that day, located in the municipality of Mariño, in the state of Nueva Esparta. It caught our attention, and we decided to go in. The store was quite well stocked, with a wide variety of products. Although some employees were not entirely familiar with the technical information about the products, they were very friendly and attentive. That, combined with the quality of the items, made for a positive experience. I did not take any photos inside the store because there were many people there, and it is always important to respect the privacy of others.
Nuestra siguiente parada fue en la circunvalación, donde justo ese día había abierto una nueva tienda de pinturas llamada “El Mundo del Color”, ubicada en el municipio Mariño, en el estado Nueva Esparta. Nos llamó la atención y decidimos entrar. La tienda estaba bastante bien abastecida, con una gran variedad de productos. Aunque algunos empleados no dominaban del todo la información técnica de los productos, fueron muy amables y atentos. Eso, sumado a la calidad de los artículos, hizo que la experiencia fuera positiva. No tomé fotos dentro del local porque había muchas personas y siempre es importante respetar la privacidad de los demás.
I left the store very pleased. I got exactly what I needed: paints with the right specifications and at an excellent price. We took advantage of the fact that it was their grand opening and there were special promotions. With the paint in hand and the satisfaction of a job well done, we drove across town back home. The afternoon was slowly coming to an end, and with it we closed a productive and peaceful day.
Salí muy complacida de la tienda. Conseguí exactamente lo que necesitaba; pinturas con las especificaciones adecuadas y a un precio excelente. Aprovechamos que estaban en su apertura y había promociones especiales. Con la pintura en mano y la satisfacción del deber cumplido, atravesamos la ciudad de regreso a casa. La tarde caía lentamente, y con ella cerrábamos un día productivo y sereno.
