For my part, I tell you that my week started with very good energy and a touch of productivity that is always motivating. Early in the morning, I went out for my usual tour of the Sunsol chain, a task that I enjoy because it connects me with different places and allows me to appreciate the landscapes of this beautiful island.
The day dawned a bit cloudy. In fact, during the early morning there were heavy rains that announced a small truce to the heat of the last few days. However, as the sun rose, the weather became cool and pleasant. The views on the road seemed to come alive, and that feeling of harmony accompanied me throughout the day.

Por mi parte, les cuento que mi semana inició con muy buena energía y un toque de productividad que siempre es motivador. Desde temprano, salí a realizar mi recorrido habitual por la cadena Sunsol, una tarea que disfruto porque me conecta con diferentes lugares y me permite apreciar los paisajes de esta hermosa Isla.
El día amaneció un tanto nublado. De hecho, durante la madrugada se escucharon fuertes lluvias que anunciaban una pequeña tregua al calor de los últimos días. Sin embargo, al salir el sol, el clima se tornó fresco y agradable. Las vistas en el camino parecían cobrar vida, y esa sensación de armonía me acompañó durante toda la jornada.
The tour took me a little longer than expected due to a curious detail. As we have been going through days of great drought and high temperatures, some hotels have registered a considerable increase in water consumption. This increase made it necessary to supply them with additional water trucks. For this reason, I had to wait a little longer than usual for the water to stabilize so that I could take the necessary samples to verify the quality of the water. This is an aspect of the work that, although it may seem routine, always leaves me with interesting lessons.
At the end of this first stage of the day, my husband came to pick me up to complete a special mission together, to go into the heart of Porlamar. Our objective was to get an errand for our son, a blanket he needed. Taking advantage of the fact that my husband was driving, I settled into the seat and enjoyed the view along the way.
El recorrido me tomó un poco más de tiempo de lo esperado debido a un detalle curioso. Como hemos atravesado días de gran sequía y altas temperaturas, algunos hoteles han registrado un aumento considerable en el consumo de agua. Este aumento llevó a que fuera necesario abastecerlos con gandolas adicionales de vital líquido. Por esta razón, tuve que esperar un poco más de lo usual para que las aguas se estabilizara y así poder realizar las muestras necesarias para verificar la calidad del agua. Este es un aspecto del trabajo que, aunque pueda parecer rutinario, siempre me deja aprendizajes interesantes.
Al finalizar esta primera etapa del día, mi esposo pasó a buscarme para completar juntos una misión especial, adentrarnos en el corazón de Porlamar. Nuestro objetivo era conseguir un encargo de nuestro hijo, una cobija que necesitaba. Aprovechando que mi esposo conducía, me acomodé en el asiento y disfruté de las vistas durante el trayecto.
Those moments of observation, in which I combine the urban landscape with the natural one, are for me moments of tranquility, where we can experience the magic of the everyday.
Esos momentos de observación, en los que combino el paisaje urbano con el natural, son para mí momentos de mucha tranquilidad, donde podemos vivir la magia de lo cotidiano.
When I arrived in downtown Porlamar, I managed to buy the blanket. Although I did not find the exact color he had asked for, I decided on one that I am sure he will love. I can't wait to surprise him, because I know how grateful our son is and how he values every gesture we have with him.
Of course, no visit to Porlamar would be complete without a special detail, my husband could not resist stopping by the place where they sell the most delicious chicha we have ever tasted. It's a tradition we didn't pass up, and, as always, it was super delicious. With our purchase done and savoring that delicacy, we set out on our way back.
Al llegar al centro de Porlamar, logré comprar la cobija. Aunque no encontré el color exacto que me había pedido, me decidí por una que estoy segura le encantará. Estoy ansiosa por sorprenderlo, porque se lo agradecido que es nuestro hijo y como valora cada gesto que tenemos con el.
Por supuesto, ninguna visita a Porlamar estaría completa sin un detalle especial, mi esposo no pudo resistirse a pasar por el lugar donde venden la chicha más deliciosa que hemos probado. Es una tradición que no dejamos pasar, y, como siempre, estaba súper deliciosa. Con nuestra compra hecha y saboreando esa exquisitez, emprendimos el camino de regreso.
The return trip was another treat for the senses. As we moved, the sun began to decline in some parts of the landscape. That time of the day, when the light plays with shadows and colors, always seems magical to me. I took the opportunity to capture some of these images with my cell phone, which I will always keep with the idea of showing you this beautiful moment.
El regreso fue otro regalo para los sentidos. Mientras nos desplazábamos, el sol comenzaba a declinar en algunos puntos del paisaje. Esa hora del día, en la que la luz juega con las sombras y los colores, siempre me parece mágica. Aproveché para capturar algunas de esas imágenes con mi móvil, que guarde siempre con la idea de mostrarles este bello momento.
