Greetings, I hope you are very well. I want to share with you a little bit about my day yesterday, which was quite intense. The heat managed to exhaust me more than usual, although nothing that my body could not withstand with patience and good attitude. There are work days that are more demanding than others, and honestly, yesterday left me very exhausted. I arrived home with very little energy, wishing only for a cool shower and a moment of rest.
The heat continues in Margarita Island with an intensity that seems to give no respite. I think that has been the main reason for my exhaustion. Although I am used to the warm weather on the island, there are days when the sun seems to embrace us with more force than usual. Still, I try to stay positive and above all happy to live in a place so full of natural beauty.
I left early in the morning on my way to the Sunsol Unik hotel. The sun was already high in the sky, radiant, illuminating everything in its path. On the way I could appreciate really beautiful landscapes, both natural and urban. I love how the morning light transforms every corner. At that moment I still could not imagine how intense the heat would become as the hours went by.
Saludos, espero que estén muy bien. Quiero compartirles un poco de cómo fue mi día de ayer, que estuvo bastante intenso. El calor logró agotarme más de lo habitual, aunque nada que mi cuerpo no pudiera soportar con paciencia y buena actitud. Hay días de trabajo que son más exigentes que otros, y sinceramente, el de ayer me dejó muy agotada. Llegué a casa con muy poca energía, deseando solo una ducha fresca y un momento de descanso.
El calor continúa en la Isla de Margarita con una intensidad que parece no dar tregua. Creo que ese ha sido el principal motivo de mi agotamiento. Aunque estoy acostumbrada al clima cálido de la isla, hay días en los que el sol parece abrazarnos con más fuerza de lo normal. Aun así, trato de mantenerme positiva y sobre todo feliz por vivir en un lugar tan lleno de belleza natural.
Salí temprano en la mañana rumbo al hotel Sunsol Unik. El sol ya estaba alto en el cielo, radiante, iluminando todo a su paso. En el trayecto pude apreciar paisajes realmente hermosos, tanto naturales como urbanos. Me encanta cómo la luz de la mañana transforma cada rincón. En ese momento aún no podía imaginar lo intenso que se volvería el calor con el pasar de las horas.
Upon arriving at the hotel, I had to wait for a while in the laundry area, since we have a filter installed there and the key to access it was missing. The waiting time was in an environment without air conditioning, which made the heat feel even more suffocating. Exhaustion began to set in, but I tried to stay calm. Finally, the keys were brought in and I was able to backwash the filter, in addition to my usual measurements. Although it was a tricky start, I managed to get that part of the job done.
Al llegar al hotel, tuve que esperar un rato en el área de lavandería, ya que allí tenemos instalado un filtro y no se encontraba la llave para acceder. El tiempo de espera fue en un ambiente sin aire acondicionado, lo que hizo que el calor se sintiera aún más sofocante. El agotamiento comenzó a hacerse presente, pero traté de mantenerme tranquila. Finalmente, trajeron las llaves y pude realizar el retrolavado del filtro, además de mis mediciones habituales. Aunque fue un inicio complicado, logré cumplir con esa parte del trabajo.
As in life we are often in setbacks, there is nothing left but to continue and not let the adverse moments consume us. So I continued with my journey, with my mind focused on finishing the day well. My husband was already waiting for me, as we had to go buy a seal for the water pump that had been damaged. We went to a hardware store that was on our way, and fortunately they took good care of us. We were able to solve this problem without major complications.
Como en la vida muchas veces estamos a contratiempo, no queda más que continuar y no dejar que los momentos adversos nos consuman. Así que seguí con mi recorrido, con la mente enfocada en terminar bien la jornada. Mi esposo ya me estaba esperando, pues teníamos que ir a comprar un sello para la bomba de agua que se había dañado. Fuimos a una ferretería que quedaba en nuestro camino, y afortunadamente nos atendieron muy bien. Pudimos resolver ese pendiente sin mayores complicaciones.
After that, we headed to the Sunsol Isla Caribe hotel. Since they had a high occupancy, I had to enter through the side of the hotel in order to take the chlorine level measurements. Despite the circumstances, I can't complain; I was able to do my job quickly and efficiently, which is always gratifying.
Después de eso, nos dirigimos al hotel Sunsol Isla Caribe. Como tenían una alta ocupación, tuve que ingresar por el costado del hotel para poder realizar las mediciones de los niveles de cloro. A pesar de las circunstancias, no me puedo quejar; pude hacer mi trabajo de forma rápida y eficiente, lo cual siempre es gratificante.
When I left the hotel, my husband took me to the Viento Fresco sector, a place where you can see the old magnetic mines. He knows how much I love natural environments, which relax me and fill me with peace. Despite the heat, he wanted to give me that special moment. Seeing those hills, from which magnetic was extracted in the past, was really beautiful. I felt connected with the history and nature of the place.
Al salir del hotel, mi esposo me llevó al sector Viento Fresco, un lugar desde donde se pueden apreciar las antiguas minas de magnética. Él sabe cuánto me gustan los ambientes naturales, que me relajan y me llenan de paz. A pesar del calor, quiso regalarme ese momento especial. Ver esos cerros, de los cuales se extrajo magnética en el pasado, fue realmente hermoso. Me sentí conectada con la historia y la naturaleza del lugar.
Along the way, something especially caught my attention: on the leaves of a coconut plant, the birds had woven their nests with incredible precision. They looked like small, perfectly crafted baskets, strong and sturdy. It was an image that filled me with wonder and tenderness.
Durante el camino, algo llamó especialmente mi atención: en las hojas de una planta de coco, los pájaros habían tejido sus nidos con una precisión increíble. Parecían pequeñas cestas perfectamente elaboradas, fuertes y resistentes. Fue una imagen que me llenó de asombro y ternura.
Now more relaxed, after having enjoyed so much natural beauty, we started our way back home. The heat was still intense, but I felt lighter. Nothing like nature to renew energy.
