A new week has begun and with it comes new challenges, goals and opportunities to move forward. I wish you a wonderful week, full of experiences and special learnings. I also wish from the bottom of my heart that mine is as wonderful, with all that it implies, work, family, love and tranquility.
Last Sunday was a very beautiful day for us as being together makes us very happy. We all went out together, my son, my husband and me. We organized ourselves to do the necessary shopping for the week, trying to take advantage of the day to fulfill that purpose and at the same time enjoy a walk together. Although we had not planned anything specific beyond shopping, in the end it turned out to be a day full of beautiful moments.
We left around lunchtime, as we had breakfast quite late. The weather was excellent. Although it had rained a bit the night before, that helped the atmosphere to be cooler, with that clean air left by the rain and a particularly soft and radiant afternoon light. The sun did not bother us, on the contrary, it illuminated the urban and natural landscape in a beautiful way.
Ya comenzó una nueva semana y con ella llegan nuevos retos, metas y oportunidades para seguir adelante. Les deseo una semana maravillosa, llena de experiencias, aprendizajes especiales. También deseo de corazón que la mía sea así de maravillosa, con todo lo que implica, trabajo, familia, amor y tranquilidad.
El pasado domingo fue un día muy hermoso para nosotros ya que estar juntos nos hace muy feliz. Salimos todos juntos, mi hijo, mi esposo y yo. Nos organizamos para realizar las compras necesarias para la semana, tratando de aprovechar el día para cumplir con ese propósito y al mismo tiempo disfrutar de un paseo juntos. Aunque no habíamos planeado nada en específico más allá de las compras, al final resultó ser un día lleno de momentos bonitos.
Salimos cerca del horario de almuerzo, ya que el desayuno lo tomamos bastante tarde. El clima era excelente. Aunque la noche anterior había llovido un poco, eso ayudó a que el ambiente estuviera más fresco, con ese aire limpio que deja la lluvia y una luz de tarde especialmente suave y radiante. El sol no molestaba, al contrario, iluminaba el paisaje urbano y natural de una forma linda.
We went around several markets, looking for the products we needed for the week. We checked prices, quality and available options, trying to make an efficient purchase but without rushing. Finally, we arrived at the Rio market, located in the municipality of Maneiro, with a very clear idea in mind; to buy semi-hard cheese, the one that our son likes so much to accompany his breakfasts. It is like a ritual for him, and we already knew that he could not miss it at home.
Fuimos recorriendo varios mercados, buscando los productos que necesitábamos para la semana. Revisamos precios, calidad y opciones disponibles, tratando de hacer una compra eficiente pero sin apuros. Finalmente, llegamos al mercado Río, ubicado en el municipio Maneiro, con una idea muy clara en mente; comprar queso semi duro, ese que tanto le gusta a nuestro hijo para acompañar sus desayunos. Es como un ritual para él, y ya sabíamos que no podía faltar en casa.
As we entered the food court of the market, there was a delicious smell, a mixture of spices, meats and vegetables cooking, that made our mouths water instantly. It was already close to 3:00 pm and we still hadn't had lunch, so we couldn't resist the temptation. We bought the cheese we were looking for and headed straight to the food court of the place.
We each ordered what we wanted. My husband opted for a very complete Creole dish, my son chose his beloved chicken and rice and I, more simply, decided on a beef soup, which is something that always comforts me. The flavor was incredible, the broth was tasty, with its very generous chunks of meat and vegetables and well cooked. It was a lunch that we enjoyed not only for the taste, but also for the shared moment, without rushing or distractions.
Al entrar al área de comida del mercado, se sentía un olor delicioso, mezcla de especias, carnes y vegetales cocinándose, que nos hizo la boca aguas al instante. Ya eran cerca de las 3:00 pm y aún no habíamos almorzado, así que no pudimos resistir la tentación. Compramos el queso que buscábamos y nos dirigimos directamente al área de de comida del lugar.
Cada uno pidió lo que se le antojaba. Mi esposo optó por un plato criollo bien completo, mi hijo eligió su amado pollo y arroz y yo, más sencilla, me decidí por una sopa de res, que es algo que siempre me reconforta. El sabor estaba increíble, el caldo era sabroso, con sus trozos de carne y verduras muy generosos y bien cocido. Fue un almuerzo que disfrutamos no solo por el sabor, sino por el momento compartido, sin prisas ni distracciones.
After lunch, we talked for a long time, discussing our pending tasks, organizing the week's tasks and sharing ideas about the coming days. It was an intimate space of connection and planning, something we do not achieve during the week due to the accelerated pace of the routine.
As we left, the evening was already beginning to fall and the sky was dressed in beautiful colors: oranges, golds mixed with the silhouettes of the mountains in the distance. It was one of those postcard-like moments that make you thankful for the simple things in life.
Después de comer, nos quedamos conversando largo rato, comentando nuestras pendientes, organizando las tareas de la semana y compartiendo ideas sobre los próximos días. Fue un espacio íntimo, de conexión y planificación, algo que no logramos entre semana por el ritmo acelerado de la rutina.
Al salir, la tarde ya comenzaba a caer y el cielo se vestía de colores hermosos: naranjas, dorados se mezclaban con las siluetas de las montañas a lo lejos. Fue uno de esos momentos que parecen de postal, que te hacen agradecer por las cosas sencillas de esta vida.
