This Sunday was a day of rest for me. I didn't go out early, but stayed at home until after lunch. I only went out with the intention of doing some necessary shopping for the week and filling up the gas tank, which will allow me to work without worries for the next few days.
The heat was quite intense from dawn, with hardly a breeze, as is often the case here on the island. When the weather becomes a little aggressive due to the heat, hydration is essential. That's why I always carry my water bottle with me, which is indispensable on these hot days. The natural and urban landscapes looked beautiful, and I didn't miss the opportunity to capture a few moments with my camera.

Este domingo fue un día de descanso para mí. No salí temprano, sino que me quedé en casa hasta después del almuerzo. Salí únicamente con la intención de hacer algunas compras necesarias para la semana y de llenar el tanque de gasolina, algo que me permite trabajar sin preocupaciones durante los próximos días.
El calor estuvo bastante intenso desde que amaneció, no corría apenas brisa, así suele pasar algunos días aquí en la isla. Cuando el clima se torna un poco agresivo por el calor, no puede faltar la hidratación. Por eso algo siempre con mi termo de agua, indispensable para estos días calurosos. Los paisajes naturales y urbanos se veían hermosos y no perdí la oportunidad para facturar algunos instantes con mi lente.
At home, we usually do our shopping at the butcher's shop in the Sigo Costa Azul market, a place we love. They know us there and always serve us with kindness, quality, and speed. It's a pleasure to go there because, in addition to getting everything we need, the service is excellent. It's one of those places that becomes part of your routine because it makes you feel so comfortable.
En casa mayormente hacemos las compras en la carnicería del mercado Sigo Costa Azul, un lugar que nos encanta. Ya nos conocen allí y siempre nos atienden con amabilidad, calidad y rapidez. Es un gusto ir, porque además de conseguir todo lo que necesitamos, el trato es excelente. Es uno de esos sitios que se vuelve parte de tu rutina por lo cómodo que te hace sentir.
After finishing at the market, we went to fill up with fuel. We did so at the PDV Centro Automotriz Plaza gas station, located on Jovito Villalba Avenue, in the municipality of Maneiro, Nueva Esparta state, on Margarita Island, very close to the Parque Costa Azul shopping center. We like that gas station because, although not all of them are open on Sundays, that one was. That's why I usually prefer to fill up on Fridays, so I don't run into the problem of finding a closed gas station. However, due to work issues, I couldn't do it in advance this time and had to do it on Sunday.
Después de terminar en el mercado, fuimos a surtir combustible. Lo hicimos en la estación de servicio PDV Centro automotriz Plaza, ubicada en la avenida Jovito Villalba , municipio Maneiro del estado Nueva Esparta en Isla Margarita, muy cerca del centro comercial Parque Costa Azul. Esa bomba nos gusta porque, aunque los domingos no todas están abiertas, esa sí estaba funcionando. Por eso normalmente prefiero poner gasolina los viernes, para no correr con el contratiempo de conseguir una bomba cerrada. Sin embargo, por temas de trabajo esta vez no pude hacerlo con antelación y me tocó hacerlo el domingo.

Once the tank was ready, we returned home without rushing, contemplating the landscape that this type of quiet, sunny Sunday offers us. It is that kind of tranquility that connects you with your surroundings, even when the heat is relentless.
Una vez listo el tanque, volvimos a casa sin apuros, contemplando el paisaje que nos regala este tipo de domingos tranquilos y soleados. Es ese tipo de tranquilidad que te conecta con el entorno, aunque el calor sea implacable.
Once home, I prepared my husband and son's favorite dinner. Cooking for them is one of the things I enjoy most, and that's how we ended the day as a family, sharing a simple meal made with love. There's nothing like seeing their satisfied faces after enjoying something I've prepared for them with so much love.
Ya en casa, preparé la cena que más le gusta a mi esposo y a mi hijo. Cocinar para ellos es una de las cosas que más disfruto, y así cerramos el día en familia, compartiendo una comida sencilla pero hecha con cariño. No hay nada como ver sus caras de satisfacción después de disfrutar algo que les preparo con tanto amor.
