Although for many, the weekend is synonymous with rest, in my case, this will be one of those weekends where I have to keep working. That's how things are in the sector where I work most of the time: schedules don't always align with traditional days off, but I do it with commitment, love, and responsibility.
I want to share with you how my Friday went, a day that was full of activity, both at work and at home. I always try to balance both responsibilities, although it's not always easy. I strive to fulfill every role that life has given me, and although sometimes my body asks for a break, my heart knows that everything done with love is worthwhile.
That day started very early. I left home with my husband, heading for the Red Cross in Villa Rosa. We had to pick up some medical tests that we had recently done on my father, due to a hypertensive crisis that had us quite worried. The journey was peaceful and beautiful. The rain from the night before had left everything with a special glow; the trees seemed greener, and the sky, although partially cloudy, had a beauty that invited contemplation. The clouds, soft and scattered, gave the landscape an almost poetic touch.
Les deseo un feliz y descansado fin de semana a todos. Espero que puedan disfrutar de momentos de paz, de desconexión y de cercanía con las personas que aman. Aunque para muchos el fin de semana es sinónimo de descanso, en mi caso, este será uno de esos en los que toca seguir trabajando. Así son las cosas en el sector en el que me desempeño mayormente: los horarios no siempre se alinean con los días de descanso tradicionales, pero lo hago con compromiso, amor y responsabilidad.
Quiero compartirles cómo fue mi viernes, un día que estuvo lleno de actividad, tanto en lo laboral como en lo familiar. Trato siempre de llevar ambas responsabilidades con equilibrio, aunque no siempre es fácil. Me esfuerzo por cumplir con cada rol que la vida me ha dado, y aunque a veces el cuerpo pide pausa, el corazón sabe que todo lo que se hace con amor vale la pena.
Ese día comenzó muy temprano. Salí de casa junto a mi esposo, con rumbo a la Cruz Roja de Villa Rosa. Teníamos que recoger unos exámenes médicos que le habíamos realizado a mi padre recientemente, debido a una crisis hipertensiva que nos tuvo bastante preocupados. El trayecto fue sereno y hermoso. La lluvia de la noche anterior había dejado todo con un brillo especial; los árboles parecían más verdes, y el cielo, aunque parcialmente nublado, tenía una belleza que invitaba a la contemplación. Las nubes, suaves y dispersas, daban al paisaje un toque casi poético.
Between conversations and shared silences, we arrived at our destination. At the Red Cross, everything went quickly and smoothly. The results were ready, and the doctor saw us right away. He explained my father's diagnosis in detail and gave us all the necessary instructions to improve his health. It was a moment of relief, one of those moments when you feel that, even though the road ahead is long, there is light and hope at the end of it.
Entre conversaciones y silencios compartidos, llegamos a nuestro destino. En la Cruz Roja todo fluyó con rapidez y amabilidad. Los resultados estaban listos y el doctor nos atendió enseguida. Nos explicó con detalle el diagnóstico de mi padre y nos dio todas las indicaciones necesarias para que su salud pudiera mejorar. Fue un momento de alivio, de esos en los que uno siente que, aunque el camino sea largo, hay luz y esperanza en él.
With the medical instructions in hand, we headed to the city to carry out our workday at the Sunsol Unik hotel. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Ariel from the quality department, who was as friendly and professional as ever. We carried out our usual routine, which includes checking the chlorine levels in the water. Fortunately, the parameters were within the expected range, allowing us to finish that part of the day with satisfaction.
Con las indicaciones médicas en mano, nos dirigimos a la ciudad para cumplir con nuestra jornada laboral en el hotel Sunsol Unik. Al llegar, nos recibió Ariel del departamento de calidad, como siempre con su cordialidad y profesionalismo. Realizamos nuestra rutina habitual, que incluye la verificación de los niveles de cloro en las aguas. Por suerte, los parámetros estaban dentro de lo esperado, lo que nos permitió cerrar esa parte del día con satisfacción.
Our final destination was my father's house. We wanted to get started right away with the new medical plan, make sure everything was in order, and, above all, keep him company. We spent several hours with him, talking, listening to him, and simply being there. Those moments, though everyday occurrences, are very valuable to all of us.
Before evening fell, we said goodbye. As we left, we looked up at Matasiete Hill, which is very close to his house. The clouds were gliding gently over the mountain peaks, creating such a beautiful image that I felt the need to capture it, to immortalize it to share with you. It was the perfect ending to a day full of activity, but also full of meaning.
Nuestro último destino era la casa de mi padre. Queríamos comenzar de inmediato con el nuevo plan médico, asegurarnos de que todo estuviera en orden y, sobre todo, hacerle compañía. Pasamos varias horas con él, conversando, escuchándolo, y simplemente estando presentes. Esos momentos, aunque cotidianos, tienen un gran valor para todos.
Antes de que cayera la tarde, nos despedimos. Al salir, alzamos la vista hacia el cerro Matasiete , que está muy cerca de su casa. Las nubes se deslizaban suavemente por la punta de las montañas, creando una imagen tan hermosa que sentí la necesidad de capturarla, de inmortalizarla para compartirla con ustedes. Fue el broche perfecto para un día lleno de movimiento, pero también de significado.
