Happy weekend, everyone! I sincerely hope you are enjoying it to the fullest, with peace of mind, joy, and good company. For my part, I hope this Saturday is much more relaxed than Friday was, which was full of activities, work, and goals that, although demanding, have very valuable purposes for the future.
Yesterday was a special day, a little different from what I'm used to, because we took an important step: for the third time, we went to negotiate a new contract. This experience took up a large part of the previous night as I prepared myself, studying possible scenarios and putting together answers for any eventuality. The idea was to find efficient solutions to any potential problems that might arise at the Hesperia Playa el Agua Hotel, located on Avenida 31 de Julio and Calle La Mira, in the municipality of Antolín del Campo, Nueva Esparta state, on the beautiful island of Margarita.

Por mi parte, deseo que este sábado sea mucho más relajado que el viernes que tuve, que estuvo cargado de actividades, trabajo y metas que, aunque demandantes, tienen propósitos muy valiosos para el futuro.
Ayer fue un día especial, un poco diferente a lo que acostumbro, porque dimos un paso importante, por tercera vez fuimos a negociar un nuevo contrato. Esta experiencia me tomó gran parte de la noche anterior preparándome, estudiando posibles escenarios y armando respuestas para cualquier eventualidad. La idea era encontrar soluciones eficientes a las posibles problemáticas que se pudieran presentar en el Hotel Hesperia Playa el Agua, ubicado en la avenida 31 de julio con calle La Mira, en el municipio Antolín del Campo, estado Nueva Esparta, en la bella Isla Margarita.
I woke up earlier than usual because I wanted to do everything calmly and without rushing. When something is new to me, I like to take my time, prepare myself mentally, and go over every detail so that everything goes well. I don't like to improvise. Luckily, I wasn't going alone. My husband accompanied me, and it was a great relief to know that I could count on his unconditional support. Together we make an excellent team, always supporting each other in everything we do, and that makes every challenge easier to bear.
We left home in spectacular weather. The sun was shining brightly and the sky was clear, as if nature was giving us a smile to start the day. The journey was peaceful, and between conversations and the Margariteño landscape, we arrived at the hotel.
Upon arrival, we were told that we had to check in using a tag to register in the digital system. Without any complications, we completed the procedure and waited for the meeting to begin.
The conversation was with the maintenance manager, who, despite having been in the position for only a short time, showed a clear, firm, and promising vision of what the hotel needs. I was pleasantly surprised by his willingness to collaborate, his way of expressing priorities, and how we connected around the objectives. At the end, both parties were very satisfied. We symbolically toasted to the upcoming work we will do together.
Me levanté más temprano que de costumbre porque quería hacer todo con calma y sin apuros. Cuando algo es nuevo para mí, me gusta dedicarle tiempo, prepararme mentalmente, repasar cada detalle para que todo salga bien. No me gusta improvisar. Por suerte, no iba sola. Mi esposo me acompañó, y fue un gran alivio saber que podía contar con su apoyo incondicional. Juntos formamos un equipo excelente, siempre nos apoyamos mutuamente en todo lo que hacemos, y eso hace que cada desafío sea más llevadero.
Salimos de casa con un clima espectacular. El sol brillaba con fuerza y el cielo estaba despejado, como si la naturaleza nos regala una sonrisa para comenzar el día. El trayecto fue tranquilo, y entre conversaciones, y el paisaje margariteño, llegamos al hotel.
Al llegar, nos indicaron que el ingreso debía hacerse por medio de tankeeper, para registrarnos en el sistema digital. Sin complicaciones, realizamos el procedimiento y esperamos el inicio de la reunión.
La conversación fue con el gerente de mantenimiento, quien a pesar de tener poco tiempo en el cargo, mostró una visión clara, firme y prometedora respecto a lo que el hotel necesita. Me sorprendió gratamente su disposición a colaborar, su forma de expresar las prioridades y cómo conectamos en torno a los objetivos. Al finalizar, ambas partes quedamos muy satisfechas. Brindamos simbólicamente por los próximos trabajos que desarrollaremos juntos.
The hotel, although different from what I am used to, has something I love: its proximity to the sea. It is located in a strategic spot that allows tourists to easily enjoy the beach. I couldn't pass up the opportunity, so after the negotiation, I took a few minutes to go to the sea. Its immensity inspires me, relaxes me, connects me. I would have liked to stay longer, but I had other commitments. I had to go to the city to visit some warehouses and check the availability of the materials needed to start the agreed work.
El hotel, aunque distinto a los que estoy acostumbrada, tiene algo que me encanta, su proximidad al mar. Está ubicado en un punto estratégico que permite a los turistas disfrutar fácilmente de la playa. No podía desaprovechar el momento, así que, después de la negociación, me acerqué unos minutos al mar. Su inmensidad me inspira, me relaja, me conecta. Hubiera querido quedarme más tiempo, pero los compromisos continuaban. Tenía que dirigirme a la ciudad para visitar algunos almacenes y verificar la disponibilidad de materiales necesarios para dar inicio a los trabajos acordados.
During the tour, the sun remained intense, typical of the island. This allowed us to contemplate beautiful landscapes, both natural and urban, which are part of Margarita's charm. Every corner has something special to capture.
